Greetings all, it's my first post but I've been lurking for a while. I've just bought a Datsun 910 coupe and I'm thinking about a set of 15" wheels for it. The Watanabes are classics but I wonder about availability here. Does anybody know if the Konig Rewind is a copy of the Watanabe wheel? Konig seem to be distributed a lot more here so I imagine they're easier to get. Any advice on other 15" wheel choices is welcome.

Ratdat has bought a set of Konig Rewinds, I assume for his 510 – if they’re good enough for him, then they’re certainly good enough for the rest of us!
BTW I like the 910 coupe a lot! Be sure to post a picture somewhere. Is it one of the ones off eBay you’ve bought?

It needs lowering a couple of inches and I think the wheels are too big at the mo (they're 16" and they are a bit imposing). Pictures will come soon. I'm just debating with myself about wheels and thinking about old Nissan/Datsun 15" wheels like the S12 Silvia's (pic below I hope) vs new wheels like the Rewinds. Decisions decisions... Even though I think the quality isnt as great as watanabes, I love the Konig Rewinds. I wanted to put those on my 510, but I couldn't afford flares for it. they have a 14" wheel with -9 offset......droool

Thanks for the welcomes by the way. Well done! Glad one of them at least has to gone to someone who thinks the right way. Hasn't it got a mesh grille and one or two other mod's? Personally, I'm not a big fan of the S12 wheels, they have no dish and that picture makes them look better than they do in real life IMO. But they do have the advantage of being cheap and readily available. The standard SSS 14" alloy is actually very nice, but might not be easy to find. |

Yes, it is the red 910 with the mesh grill. Cute car but the wheels are wrong. I'm open to suggestions on wheels. Never seen the SSS alloys though - any pictures?. I'm pretty sure 15" is the way to go but I'd consider 14". It may come down to trial and error. Once the wheels have been selected then it'll be onto the lowering and you'll all be hearing my inane questions about spring choices and shocks.

Mate, you can get the Koenig Rewinds in 15X7 with a zero offset. These are available through a supplier in the UK in limited quantities. I think they work out at about £4-£450. Also available through Techno Toy via ebay USA....just watch out for import duty !! Watanabes in 15's are very very difficult to get hold off and mega expensive. I am not sure about the correct offset on the 910? You see all older datsuns, pre the 910 can accomodate an alloy with Zero offset without having to mod the arches. The 910 on the other hand may be different. Althought, its RWD, the offset is similar to FWD  Silvia S12 is an example of this... I know of someone who was selling 8X15  minilites with the correct PCD. |

I have a set of those on the back seat of the car. I wondered if there was a set of wheels specific to the SSS. This one (below) looks stunning and is another option. It's all in the way the car sits on its wheels if you ask me. I would also like to find some honeycomb material to make a grill out of but I prefer it bright so if anybody comes across a sheet of thick widely spaced honeycomb aluminium, please get in touch! NO worries mate Remember, that if you want mad 15 and 16" wheels with proper offset, the S13 200SX shares the same PCD as the 910 ;D So Driftforums may be your nextr visit in search of the wheels... BTW, if you want to sell the wing mounted mirrors, please remember me FIRST  |

Never!
The PO told me he'd spent some time getting bits. He succeeded in getting the wing mirrors but couldn't get the honeycomb grille, even from Japan.
