Ok here's a couple of photo's of my old beast.... she's a bit rugged, but it only set me back $100 remember! This is my friends one, with the 4k with 3K head, twin Dellorto sidedrafts, head work etc, it's now lower, and rides on either of these 2 sets of 15s shown or some 13" minilites, it's best quarter to date has been a 16.7! And finally another hot little local KP, this one runs a turboed 4AGZE, and does high 12 second quarters! Enjoy, I still have a few photo's of local rally driven Starlet's as well!

I am quite taken by them - the Japs love 'em. VWs are my bag, but an old laydee across the road from my GF has a white Mk3 Starlet and I'm very tempted to ask her if she wants to sell it

If you don't want it and wanted it to go to a good home then feel free to pm me some contact details The best looking ones are the mk1 bug eye can't beat the round eye look

Really he just wants a cheap runabout and it's easier to find Starlets than it is Suzuki Carry's and Fronte's and the like.

That and I got offered one at what will be a VERY reasonable price if it pans out to be good.... fingers crossed!!!
Something about sideways action in the wet proves alluring when KP60's are concerned as well!
I shall keep y'all posted however!

Hi Oli! Excellent Retro-Ride you have there, i've always liked these little old Starlets (really like that silver one you posted ) In fact I think the scariest car i've ever witnesed in action was a blue Starlet running a Harris built Pinto, tuned to the hilt. The bare bulkhead (it had no dashboard) Wobbled about violently as the driver blipped the lairy engine & looked ripe for doing some serious injury The car then proceeded to run quick 12s down Santa Pod - mostly at a sideways attitude ;D

The silver one is after all a mk3 and bascially the same as the one for sale in the for sale section and for 500 squid tis a good project

Wow. this thread has caught my attention! If anyone's feeling inspired to get a Starlet, DO IT!
The reason? I spent last weekend at the Street Rod Nationals, where my Saffy just wasn't kool enough for the cruise. So Saturday morning we stuck some coil clamps on my mate's '83 Starlet, dropped it a couple of inches (took an hour), then four of us clambered in and drove to Felixstowe at 70mph.
Can't think of another RWD 1-litre car that'll put up with that!
