I always think it looks a bit strange seeing big saloons with only 2 doors, almost defeats of object of having a family saloon car when you got to get granny and the baby to climb over the passenger seat to get in. And I'd loved to see more photos of the first blue one, like magnumpi said, OOOF! ;D |

Theres probably more sites for booted cars than other sorts, hatchbacks are a fairly recent invention ya know.

Will have to say ie always preferred booted cars. Hatchbacks are more practicle, but I just think a booted car has better proportions. I guess it stems from when I was a kid and my dad driving me around in Volvo 144's, Marina's and Cortina's.

ya ive allways liked the orion too. just doesnt realy cater for any booted car other than the orion...... google don't seem to turn up a thing , i would have thought the yanks would have a club dedicated to this sorta thing , but then again its more the norm there and hatchbacks are the odd ones out..... any more kool pics of some booted cars?  any make |

I love trunks too, got a Jetta myself you know. ;D And indeed, the reason behind a 2-door trunker isn't all that clear too me. It doesn't make them more sporty. Shameless selfpromotion coming up;   |

I love trunks too, got a Jetta myself you know. ;D And indeed, the reason behind a 2-door trunker isn't all that clear too me. It doesn't make them more sporty. err, pretty much all sports cars are two door with a proper boot, hatchbacks and estate cars are the shopping cars and workhorses of the world, the reason that the term "Hot hatch" was coined was because it was unusual for a hatchback to be at all sporty so it needed to be pointed out. No offence but I think some of the young VW fans get a bit blinkered about the rest of the world. |
