Nice bit of fabbing mate, I'd probably have repaired the original one bit by bit and ended up with a patchwork quilt

back on it again after 6 months , sorted power steering hoses and a resevior set in the n/s inner wing will have to route the 10mm return pipe through the inner wing once ive decided where the air intake pipe to the n/s turbo come through the front panel Also have to mount an oil cooler in the front there somewhere

getting my head around all the hoses Tickling away at the car bottom hose is two transit hoses, end to end to curl around the steering column, under the chassis into the wheelwell and over the lower TCA decided the top hose will be a 38-30reducer elbow, just have to get a 30mm copper elbow brazed into the rad header tank. The rad cap is below the top of the thermostat housing so ill have to get a vent pipe welded into this to vent out any air to an expansion tank mounted high somewhere Turbo air intake pipes and engine oil cooler next

Love it!
For some reason the word "Shoehorn" pops into my mind - can't think why...

Best build I've ever seen, can't wait to see this finished.
Are we going to see it on a drag strip anytime soon?

just read all this and i can see there's some serious head scratching going on, a very interesting and unusual (to me) build, i'll give it a thumbs up a little suggestion for the fuel tank/torsion bar problem (you've probably thought of it already), is it not worth running a channel into the top of the tank to clear the bars ??

jumped to the back now as I have to route the coolant pipes out of the cills in front of the inner wheel arch and over the arch into the boot area. As they are rotten they have to come out and be replaced with new ones that clear the wheels. So I have to decide on what wheels. Offered up a spare Supra wheel, 265 x 40 x 17 on a 9 1/2 inch rim, clears the leaf spring, shock and outer wheel arch,,,, just The cill is sitting 3 inches too high at the moment. Too big Not sure I want to run 17's, as it will affect the front wheel arch clearance even more

Offered the 35mm copper pipe into the o/s cill which will flow to the boot mounted rad with the return to the engine going in the n/s cill Rad will be lowered by 150mm to the bottom of the rear panel once I remove the old tank and cut the floor out. Found a fuel injection petrol tank ( Pontiac or Monaro I think) to fit between the rear shock towers, nice tight fit , but no room for flush speakers in the rear shelf Will have to tweek the boot lid torsion bars as they rub on the top of the tank Least of my problems really Beware when 'tweaking those torsion bars', mine on my Corsair flew off at one end and took then skin off my first finger knuckle to the bone! Skin feels dead now but it did mend. Paul
