Spooky as hell, these are awesome. easy to forget there was a world before us, and the building were stood back then.
and how things move full circle, trams, no trams, loads of road marking mess and complaints of using cars too much and public trans not enough...
And the ad's, adverts, no adverts, adverts
but yeah those spooky ones spell it out completely. chilling man. excellent.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Fantastic! What an awesome idea and well executed too. As Jizzy says, if you can blend those pics together a little more smoothly they would be seriousley cool and spooky. Well done!

Thats really good work. Must have taken ages to blend the old and new together. Looks quite eary though.
I might try similar in my home town of Swindon.

Awesome! I would imagine a softer edge and even a bit of transparency in those pics would result in something even more spectacular. Maybe posting both versions of this one up so we could have a go too would be cool: *off to your Flickr now*

Those are absolutely brilliant!!!!! I agree with the transparency piece, I'd pay money for something like that!! I think you may well have stumbled upon a nice little earner!!! On a slightly different note, you don't work for Scottish Power do you, the pic's of Cathcart/Mount Florida are just round the corner from their head office. I used to use the barbers in one of your pictures.

Absolutely excellent - I love looking at this sort of thing.
The thing that struck me most about these shots was how little, compared to similar pics of other towns and cities I've seen, Glasgow appears to have changed over the years!

Cheers guys, glad you like them. The picture with the children in I deliberately left it a bit sharp as I liked the way it looked like the modern picture had been ripped off to reveal the old. The blended pictures I only tried for the first time last night so I have done a few more today and I think I'm getting the technique down now; Dave.
