Bit rusty on this, Gf is insured this year through quote mart. I went with Adrian flux last year only cos noone else would let me teach GF to drive on the policy, plus they were cool enough when i told em i had accessory alloy wheels on thes not many companies underneath all the shop fronts like post office. Try budget, try eVan, and CVD keep sending me mail at the mo. Some companies may be funny about full on mods, just run it all by em. some will be funny that you WANT to drive a van without using it for business! the good thing about van insurance is you don't have to ring millions of people up as your options are more limited! for more options look through specialist mags... let us know how ya get on.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

good input rean! I know what you mean about companies not understanding that people buy vans to use as cars - I've been to a few van specific sites & gone through the process of entering all my details, only to be asked how long i've had my business?!

I use eVaninsurance.co.uk for my P100 I think they have an option for use as social domestic and pleasure i.e. as per your car insurance, they also do a pay as you go policy you renew every month (if you want to).

I've got my Transit insured with Budget, they seem OK and there's the option of cheap RAC cover too which is handy.

Thanks for the input guys - eVan want £457 for TPF&T - doesn't help that i have no NCD due to having a classic policy with FJ for years... FJ quoted me loads to get insured on it, so they're out. Flux want at least some NCD too...

Co-Op used to be the nuts for commercials, insured my ex Mrs with them to start her NCB as she'd always just been a named driver. Highly modified Hilux 4x4, 10" lift, 10x15 rims etc, 3.9 Rover V8, all declared, business and S,D & P, she was 24 at the time, £248 fully comp.
Also try NFU, you don't need to be a curse word kicking joskin to use them.

I was quoting my nev big van I think with budget (i think, might be evan ) and I kept clicking alloys, and lowered suspension, and it didn't seem to alter it, I was really dubious, good price too. Keep good suggestions coming as I'll be taking the Fiesta van back on in June and want it cheap as low mile 'daily'

Insurance sorted! Thanks to all suggestions. but special thanks to Kyle! NFU have done the bizz for me:
I explained that i had no NCD, so they gave me more introductory discounts as compensation! Fully comp with protected NCD & cover for upto £100k legal expenses £258.30!
Not uber-cheap but a shed load cheaper than any other quotes i've had. Plus you actually get to speak to a real live person & one you can understand... WIN WIN.
cheers - thanks also to Brian damaged for the paint, slam job!
