'cos it was always in the slow lane! Not always, its faster than it looks when I put me foot down. I could go on to make some quip about not being about to see you accelerate away due to all the smoke, but I wouldn't lower myself to make such a cutting remark Actually, it's a pity I didn't put a name to the face as I would have liked to have a chat about your lowrider...

Got to add, I've never seen this car before but it looks great! I really like the narrowed-beam-like tuck of the wheels. Stance is spot on... excellent! I'm always surprised at the cars I see at RR events which I've never seen before!

I'm always surprised at the cars I see at RR events which I've never seen before! Knew I'd seen it somewhere before: NSRA SwapMeet South, at Arena Essex last March. Amazing how the change to those early inset rims allied to the earlier front end sheet-metal has transformed the car. Smashing-looking Saab.

Congrats, Dave, yourself for all of "this"! Well done, sir. Could you list our the "who's" of things, for example, like the Best Photo winner. Some pics have names 'shopped into the image. But, some like the winner (#8) have no name associated with it. (Was that Brian's, perhaps?). Also 'nother idea, might be to assemble a grid for these, year by year, to easily see stuff like what was 2007's "Most anticipated retro-car"? Did it make the scene in 2008? Know you're busy, just throwing meringue pie at the wall to see if these notions stick and might be judged worth doing. Yo,

Well, I finally rolled in at 06:55 today. I could go on about the joy of driving the whole way at 60 with a roaring engine thanks to lack of overdrive, the 'comedy'-style swerving in front of lorries due to an unfeasibly loose steering linkage, and the pleasant combination of stuck-open vents + no heater leading to feet which I still can't feel properly... but instead I shall just say how much I LOVED the evening - my first visit to the Ace, and what a legendary bunch of people to share it with. I'm still not used to seeing all the cars in the flesh that I've spent so much time salivating over on here, and there's no way I can possibly pick out a favourite. Big thanks to Mr & Mrs Seth for letting us invade their house, and apologies to everyone who had to stop several times while we tried to make the Hunter go in a straight line And I can't tell you how impressed Mrs Duke was when I showed her an actual Award, from teh internetzz ;D

I had a great night, think bruisercapri (my co-pilot) got some cracking shots, where as my rather laughable attempts are going through some major processing (I hate doing it, but they need it!). big thanks to Seth for the coffee, the mini meet and for getting KevofWobblyWheels to a safer place to investigate the wheel problems. I'll wang my paltry offerings up sometime. congrats to winners, it was well deserved
