I've got a bit of a boring weekend planned, although I might well see a few cool local motors, I'm on duty at the Comet Festival in Port Glasgow (not Glasgow, it's a different town altogether, it's in Inverclyde! ) tomorrow, and there are usually some classics that turn out for that. Unfortunately I won't be able to take pictures seeing as I'll be working so I won't be able to show you lot any nice motors I see, you'll have to imagine them! ;D ;D ;D

erm tomorow i'm going to a mate of a mate to try get them to do welding on my floorpan...and if they try and make me pay anything other than a tiny bit of cash.. i'll have to say no because i don't have much to spare and then i will have to continue on with a car with lots of holes in it.
Oh joy

fiddling with my wedge, struggling to get it going after going from 1.6 to 1.9 derv donkey engine. starting rebuilding my bug's 1300 as a 1600 cos i've been given most of the kit to do it...top banana ! fitting stealth parcelshelf and retrimming doorcards with 6x9s in my polo. (which has had a TOP valet by my mate's missus today.....looking SWEEEEEET !) probably leathered tomorrow night. local VW club meet sunday, hoping to sort a deal on a 1303s gearbox.

well, lol, I'm not too sure what it was, but from a quick glance at the website it 'appeared' rice (and by rice, i mean modern J cars, and they are fast!) i don't mind rice, i can see the mentality behind it, and its not all stick on tat onto small shopping carts!

lathams escort if it makes any difference at one of the ten of the bests there was a maestro turbo that was ridiculously quick. so that gets you the retro factor for the day:)

I'm gonna be spending my weekend fixing my girlfriends mini, trying to sell the parts of my mini and looking for a new retro ride. I'd love Tonys 412, but it's about £600 more than I've got right now. Have a daft urge for a Lada Riva now thanks to DarrenW

This weekend I shall be.... Cleaning the engine bay of the 318iS. MoT'ing the 320i this morning, then stuffing yet more wag into it in the afternoon. Tomorrow will be dedicated to this: www.nsra.org.uk/

Success! Project Snotrocket (pictured below) passed it's MoT first time around this morning. The usual e30-style comments on rear bushes etc, but the MoT man was happy enough. Despite the grotty wheelarches and doors it was sound as a pound underneath. Not bad for a car that cost £51 Next weekend will feature application of rims, some hardcore polishing / chrome buffing and, if we're lucky a serious reduction in the gap between bodywork and tarmac. Yay!

most plans got buggered up, no access to the bug engine cos its locked in a mate's workshop along with the battery for the wedge.
bonus is i got a FREE very ratty BMX for nowt from the scrappy so stripped and rebuilt that and very pleased i am to.
off now to do the SH, SH and a SH before doing the religous binge drinking.
