After much tomfoolery this weekend I ended up chopping too much off the rear springs of the daily volvo. This was the result: My situatin is being resolved by means of the pruchase of replacement springs so I can chop less off Any one else feel like adding some of their own low cars?

Back in the early to mid 09's I rolled in this 1430 powered beast: Afew years later I knocked up this 2.3 FD 'wagon: I didn't build this A60, but it's getting a very slow resto/kustom job in my garage at the moment - what you might call a 'long term' project: And fairly recently was this 1.8 Pissrat woodie I built 'just because I could': There have been many more, I just never get round to taking photos

That looks spot on to me Presumably 'too low' because it's on the stops? Shorter stops and shocks is the answer. too low = does not compute ;D

Looks perfect to me! The rear looks lower because the arch is lower than the front - the sill is perfectly parallel to the ground.
Unless the wheel is fouling something or it's sat on the stops, but there are ways around that! ;D

A lot of these cars look lower than my car, but I have less ground clearance! Damn and blast the oddly shaped underside and arches of my Lupo!

I had to make a ramp to get it out of the garage yesterday.
I think when I get bigger wheels it will look a little different. - and rasie the ground clearance a bit?
I'm now looking for harder shocks and springs for it. as its a bit on the bumpy side.
It is running on the bump stops on the rear.
Dan, It will still be like this on Saturday I should think.

My Dyane is low- ish... ...low enough to cause a few scrapes underneath during the recent Salisbury Plain malarkey. Not as extreme as some in 2CVGB, though! ;D

That is such a good look What suspension set up does the imp have on it? Could you actually run an Imp that low?

Bah, that's a whole fist of clearance! lol My Audi is the lowest I have pictures of... I could just about squeeze two fingers under the wishbone mount. My MS112 CROWN was much lower, I wore the downpipe into a C section and took about 1mm off the frame rails. Had to be very precise when changing motorway lanes, otherwise the catseyes would hit the chassis rails.

My A35 was the only car I've had with very cut springs. The sump used to bounce off the road occasionally. The Oxford will be lower, at least at the back though possibly a bit more on the front too, when it returns. Midway with the Hillman...
