I spotted a mustard yellow Rover SD1 earlier on the M1 and I realised i've never seen one on the open road before, even though I really like them, and they're not 'that' rare. Has anybody else ever seen something similar, a fairly normal retro but realised the same? Matt

Well, I hadn't seen a e3 before I bought mine. I didn't even know what it looked like before after I had bought it. I had never seen a Datsun Cherry either, and then I stumbled across this one:

Talbot Tagora I think I've see ONE. Ever. And I'm 45 next birthday. Renner 30 Not for years. Shared it's 2.7 litre V6 with the Tagora, along with (in RWD form) the Peugeot 604 V6 and the 264/265 Volvo.

It's been at least ten years since I last saw one of those! See Discoverys all the time, though, and from halfway up they look identical.

's funny. A large number of the cars mentioned would appear in my 'cars your dad owned' list.

Retro's you've never seen on the road beforeLoads. The climate and roads of the north of Scotland means that only the hardiest old cars survive - still see plenty of old Saabs and Volvos. The higher than average fuel prices and long distances between towns and villages is killing these relatively uneconomical cars off too. I know I couldn't have run my Saab as a daily without going bankrupt... I do up to 30k a year Sometimes my 1996 'N'-reg car is the oldest I see in days

I saw a white SD1 in full police trim outside the cafe in Harlesdon last week. It's a caff though, not a café

Can't say I've ever seen a Ronda but it does look remarkably like a late model Strada with different front end treatment.

Never seen a Seat Ronda. Talk about a forgotten car, are there any of these left in the UK ?? I don't believe we ever got the Ronda in the UK. I've certainly never seen/heard of one before. As for a Koenig, a Koenig what? Koenig were/are a styling house and made body kits/cars for other manufactures. So a Koenig Testarossa, or something? I've owned 4 Yugo 45/55s.
