Thats what we like to hear. Downside for me is that no MGB fuel tanks (except silly expensive works ones) had swirl pots in them, so looks like i'll have to run an ally fuel cell When mines done should put them next to eachother Just make / buy a swirl pot. Run the low pressure pump to the swirl pot then a high pressure pump for your new turbo lump. Thats how mine is setup Congratz on the progress, just need to keep the momentum up now

Haha that would be class! The ball is rolling - ECU is out and ready for repair number two, once that is done I need to strip down the ignition wiring and resolder it all then test the loom for shorts back to the main ECU plug!

Yep mrluke - gonna try and keep the momentum going! Although I have to try and sort my better half's MX5 now as its had the front end 'rearranged', luckily she is ok which is obviously the important thing! However, priority now is to sort that!

I'm happy to report some progress! I think the last update I had cleared all the curse word out of it and got it ready to start fixing up... Basically, since then we moved again and the Capri once again became a shed on wheels. I've been unable to do anything about it for the past year due to a career-change-uni-course that's given me no free time. But that finished on Monday so naturally, I got straight in the garage!

Interior scrubbed up. Engine bay hoovered (full of leaves and cobwebs) First job was to remove the return line for the fuel tank. For some reason it had rotted through (fuel grade and not very old). Drained the tank with my trusty jiggle syphon.

With the tank drained I took the pipe off, measured up and ordered a new one. On to the next problem! The turbo has blown... I've got a rebuild kit for it, but I need to get it off first!

This was a jolly pain The old mallet and chisel came in handy for that one in the end. The next problem came in the form of the lower two manifold nuts. Let's just say that they were extremely difficult to get at (understatement). They forced some tool butchery to occur

After far too long I managed to get the sucker off.. After dropping small spanner on face multiple times and coming out with swear words I didn't even know existed! Success
