End of play for today So next step is to rebuild the turbo and fit my new return line when it arrives. Then it'll be fluids change, battery charge and fire up. I've already re-wired the igniting circuit and sorted the ECU and chip again. All in all I've had an extremely enjoyable day!

It literally looks sorry for itself in that first pic .. looks happy in the last one Haha, it does indeed! Should've taken more pics, couldn't even see it, it had so much stuff piled on it!

So I'm attempting to 'finish' my workshop before I strip down the turbo so I don't lose anything! Never rebuilt a turbo before and to be honest, it looks like it's going to be tricky. I'm not going to send it away to get balanced, I'm going to try my best to keep it balanced by very carefully marking it up. I'll take pics of the rebuild and progress on it, I'm thinking it's gonna be a pretty fiddly job.. Anyway, hopefully tomorrow the workshop will be ready Oh, and on the way back from the PPC photoshoot I glanced at the driver's side mirror so I could change lanes on the motorway, and the glass fell out! Not a big problem obviously. However, as much as I love them (they're '66 Mustang mirrors) I've managed to bag some mirrors that I think suit it better. As soon as they land I will lob them on and get some pics. Is it weird to get excited about a pair of mirrors?

Next time you have the engine out (for whatever reason), can I implore you to change the coolant hoses under the inlet manifold. I had to do the U shaped hose on my brothers CA silvia, and despite being a trained mechanic with small hands, still found it nearly impossible with the amount of room (or lack thereof) to get the spring clips off and the hose on and off.

Cheers mate made some good progress over the last week and have some pics but I'm struggling to put them up. Am I on my own not wanting to pay for image hosting? Anyone know if you can put dropbox pics on here?

So that's how they do things on the wrong side of the Mersey! Looks very cool, not normally a fan of matt black but it suits this so well.

Haha cheers guys well, my mate helped me rebuild the turbo on Friday and went pretty well - He used to work at Holset Turbos, so knows a thing or two about spinning power snails. took about 3 hours, would've been quicker but the circlip pliers were a bit too fat. I took a ton of pics too but I still can't post them. My fuel return line arrived yesterday too I've been spending loads of time in my garage/workshop sorting it out, wanted to tidy up tidy up the bodywork a little bit and got totally carried away on little bits and bobs that have bugged me since I painted it so it's gonna be getting a full respray now! Again, I've been taking loads of pics and will add them if I work it out!

Glad to see progress on this again. Still look at photos of it when I need a bit of inspiration to crack on with mine. For image hosting I use www.flickr.com which doesn't have any bandwidth limits that I know of. You can actually store 1TB of photos and videos on there. Also has a handy "share" button when you're viewing your photo which gives the right "BBCode" needed to post on here.
