all i done a few weeks back was cut the cage out while i had a skip here and remove the engine which is outa shot on the floor.
so no need for a befor shot as pics would be roughly the same.
twidling me thumbs waiting for a new toy ;D to arrive so figured id post up todays pics now, ready for a fresh start tommorow.

This was the one with the shonky rollcage right? Looking forward to seeing this, and judging by the speed you work at, finished by New Year? That jig is awesome!

How in the world did that old front suspension have any travel - an inch of movement on the wheel and the lower wishbone hits the chassis.....

How in the world did that old front suspension have any travel - an inch of movement on the wheel and the lower wishbone hits the chassis..... it didnt work.you couldnt even turn the wheels much as the tyre hit the front control arm. the rear was the same,an inch of travel. maybe a common design flaw with cars like this. blackpops pop on this forum had the same problem thats why i redid his chassis. anyways back to today. new rear kick ups getting made. finished one and will finish other in the morning

It's difficult to see in the shots but what was wrong at the back end that was restricting the movement? In the pics it looks like a 'normal' pro street style set-up and, more worryingly, it looks just like mine.

Aircooled is cool.......
But V8 is great!!!!!!

the 4 bars sit directly under the rear kick ups. ar ride height the gap between the top 4 bar mount on the axle and the underneath of the chassis directly above it was 25mm.
so if the rear end moved up an inch it hit the chassis. rear chassis rail was bowed as well.

Aah, I see it now. Mines not like that thankfully! That's quick work on the chassis rails.
