my cheapest was a mk1 fiesta which I bought somewhere last year, it had a couple of months MOT on it. paid 70 euro's for it and it sold a year later for 250 euros.
Next cheapest was a polo breadvan which I paid 100 Euro's for, but actually I bought a spare engine for my derby. Since I couldnt transport the engine I got the breadvan with it.. Drove it for a year and then I sold it for good money..
nothing wrong with cheap cars!

I picked up a Daewoo Nubira for £50 with 1 years MOT and drove it home, only to sell it within 1/2 an hour to my neighbour for £400.

IIRC my first car, when I was about 15 was £25... 1969 MK2 Cortina estate (later scrapped ) My Mk1 Cavalier 2000 auto was £34.50... paid £35 and found 50p under the back seat. ;D

|
... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

1983 Volvo 2 litre 360GLS for £100 with 8 months mot and 3 months tax . It was cheap but it used so much fuel it almost ruined me. It being the only car I ran out of fuel in twice in one day.
1982 Ford Cortina 1.6 Crusader with 12 months mot and oversided chrome wheels from god know what on it for £120.
Volvo 440 with 2 months tax and test for £60. It drove okay but it had a nice line in sunshine floors. I sold to my mate for what I paid for it so he could use it a £1000 minimum trade in deal, which he promptly did.

I went through a stage of running old bangers whilst my old escort was of the road after a crash. First I brought this of a dodgy garage I knew, Came with a years MOT and went well for a 1.6 GL, Only cost me £100 back in 2002 It died a rust related death on it's next text. (Notice coat hanger aeril, I had class!) After that I brought a 1.1L Fiesta with 50k, 1 Owner and 8 Months MOT as a Part X from a garage I knew for £150. Was a great car until some chav wrote it off 6 months later, Still, I got £250 back for it and the wife and sister in law got £1500 each compo. Had a few other old bangers but none as cheap as these too. Oh and my dad brought this a few months ago for £20 but it had been living in a barn for 25+ years, Sold it on ebay in the end.

A Fiat Seicento - free on Freecycle. It needed a £5 spark plug re-thread. MOT'd and sold 6 weeks later for £675.
Alternatively, £50 for a Citroen AX in the same week as the Fiat. New MOT and sold on eBay for £360

Bought a Citroen Ax 1.0 Jazz off a mate who wanted rid for £75. Used it fro 5 weeks to go back and forth to my night work i was doing (didn't want to risk the GTi being nicked) then sold it for £150 after advertising it for 1 day in the street lol. Other than that my Ax GT that's in legal dispute cost me £150 (doubt I'll see it again ) and my Ax GTi cost me £400

0.34pence and two PK chewing gums for a white Mk2 Escort 1.3 ghia. I was too young to drive and it sat outside my parents house until they sold it for £300.
Was years ago, bet i could have sold it for much more now as it was a 2 door.

Why have I nevered been offered a sub-£100 car that's worth having? I paid £150 for this. Probably the most solid Sierra I've had but the wiiring loom had been hacked to bits so it had all sorts of electrical hassles. Ran it for 6 months. Sold it on ebay for £120, the guy paid for it then got offered a similar one nearer to home for free so didn't collect it. Sold it again for £110 quid and the guy drove it back to Wales. DVLA say it's still taxed 3 years later.

Lady I worked with told me about her son's Mk2 Golf Driver. When I turned up to buy it she asked me if I'd take her son's E-reg Bluebird Estate with me as well. Must've been one of the 1st car 'BOGOF' deals!
I left the Bluebird on my Ma and Pa's verge whilst I worked out what to do with it . . . needless to say I soon got a visit from a member of the Banger racing fraternity. £10 later he'd bought what was probably his most expensive car!

i worked at carcraft and got these P/X's out the onsite auction. My mate's in the trade and does really well with that auction. He's currently got a Mk2 Golf valver as a toy that came from there.
