And no matter what badge they have on em, they are all the most dangerous car on the road! Driven by a either a woman who is paying more attention to the child in the back, or by a bloke who is so depressed by the fact that his wife has forced him into driving a Zafira that he drives like an aggressive nutcase all the time.

What he said^^^^^ As for the subaru version I have seen one over here on German plates of all things. Is'nt subaru part or fully owned by GM?
On a side note,i used to work for a company who made parts for vauxhall/opel.If we sent parts to Germany and they got returned we would send them to Luton or liverpool, most of the time we would never get them back but if we did they went to austrailia because it was to expensive to send them back ;D

Hey! My wife's got one of these! She likes it, even if I don't

i guess the subaru version is similar to the badge engineered subaru justy/ suzuki swift or the early holden barina, the newer barina is the opel / vauxhall corsa2 the suzuki swift was sold as a chevrolet in the us as the nova i think too during the 90s

And the Vauxhall Agila is a rebadged Suzuki Wagon RR, so in theory, Vauxhall made a Kei car!

It's odd, I was just thinking about Zafiras yesterday (yeah, I know... but bear with me). A few years ago there used to be a plain-wrapper Police Zafira, rumoured to be tuned up and pretty quick. Apparently they used to go round the usual street Kroozer haunts around Nottingham and challenge people to races. Then nick them. Dunno how true that is, but it then got me musing on what one would look like with a few cosmetic tweaks... maybe Euro'd? I reckon it'd look pretty cool! *runs*

its nothing new really and this is the old shape one as we have the newer shape and does the job nicely although the dash is sparse and only has basic instruments IE revs speed and fuel which i don't really like would pref a temp gauge etc.
but badge engineering is not new ford have done it or parted out their cars to both Nissan and Mazda i think it was the ford maverick and the Nissan terano and then there was the fiesta and Mazda 121. and back in the day Mk2 Astra and dawooo nubira? but the latter was more of a sold on tooling etc rather than at the same time with 2 different manufactures.

I take it you never heard of the zafira VXR then? on astraownersclub.com we cover zaffys too as they are astra based and you should see some that belong to our members. Ideal for the dad whose missus insists on getting a car "for the kids" - he can go out, buy a zaffy VXR, peel the badges off if he thinks she might notice them, and, confident in the knowledge that she'll never actually put her foot down enough to notice, have something that will comfortably knock socks off just about every other people carrier in existence. I know my 2 litre astra can't touch one! In last month's Total Vauxhall we had the south east region AOC rolling road day feature and Danny's vxr knocked out a couple of hundred horsies Kirsty

They'd never get a case to stick, because of entrapment law.

But then at the same time, those in charge seem to deftly avoid these long-standing principals when it suits them. I dare say it is an urban myth... I can't see Notts Police sending a group of bobbies out in a VXR Zafira of a Saturday night to go and bait Barries.

Fast people carriers aren't a new thing though, I remember having a Shalaxy with a 2.8 V6 motor in it, going through France doing a ton and still being able to talk to the people in the third row without raising my voice...and I bought that for £1500 from the auctions. Boy that thing was quick on the uptake...the missus used to race everything off the lights in it

Daewoo made the mk2 astra at the same time as vauxhall/opel,and it was sold in the states as a Pontiac as well.I feel we are unravling the tapestry of badge engineering here ;D

Zafira's drive pretty well, their worst and IMO most dangerous fault is the terrible blind spot due to the "double A pillars".
