Basically since seenig a Modified Renault Fuego on here a month or so back Ive been looking for French cars. Ive always had a soft spot for Peugeot 305s(don't know why). Please can anyone help with basic info like what engines fit, how easy are they to upgrade, how they handle etc. Also are there any modified ones out there? I did a virtual starting with this: And ended up with:

Cool man, any modified ones? i bet there is in deepest garlic land somewhere but ve never seen any. They are one of those cars thats just screaming out to be done but no one ever does??
That one in the pic is awsome, must be really early one as all the ones i see look more modern at the front. If i found one like that it would be instant buy time.
I'm only guessing but other pug engines might bolt up.. Mi16?

It is funny because we think they are ugly and without potential this 305, but finally, 4 wheels and lowered, it is very great, like that, and we can imagine everything another, really on PTS or on 1900cc wheels

I assume FWD? Torsion bars out back with a live axle? MI16 engine probably "just drops straight in" like it does in a 205 LOL. The panel van versions still crop up here but I've not seen a saloon one in a long while. Nice clean lines, lots of things you could do with one.

Mi engine drops right in. LOL. Nope, the 305 is pretty old school pug so you'll be engineering till Tuesday to get the Mi lump in. Not that that should stop anyone. A 305 Mi16 would be awesome.
I'm a pug fan (obviously) and even I had never considered the 305 like that. The yellow one looks cock on. Absolutely.
IMHO Mk 1's look way better than the later cars, which just look too modern and a bit blander.

That first 'shop is really splendid.
I assume that the stud pattern has remained fairly constant through pug evolution.... ie, could you simply bosh on some 106 'rallye' wide white steels and use your 'stick' and..... BANG.... instant cool.
Of course you've got to try and find an un-rotten series 1 car first which might be easier said than done. Unless you go over En France to get one. Bet that hag-faced Iggy Pop-alike swinger off eBay's got some.
