that looks really smart a mate of mine bought a 1300 from ebay last year (he paid less than 150 for it) and when we collected it, discovered that it was period tuned by 'downton'. its only done about 25000 miles and only needed sills, tyres and a bit of work on the brakes to get it motd. its a great car, and when he was invited to a mg owners track day at croft a bit ago it seemed rude not to take it along. it surprised a few people!!!

Excellent. That colour change is spot on, even though my warped mind considers BL's Seventies colours about the ultimate!

Just a little update, progress is slow due to lack of fundage. Brought a second hand GT grille to replace my current one, mainly because i liked the mesh better an it was in slightly better nic. I prefer the mesh silver so i had to mask the chrome before spraying it silver, Then re fit the badges, then pop in back onto the car, Luckily this car is like a big mechano set! Now, I may remove the 1300 badge as I'm not sure it looks right, but ill leave it there for now. Let me know what you think of the latest mod! Thats about it, I'm still searching for carpet, and a nice set of alloys, although money is v tight at the mo. regards, Chris

I really like that! Cracking colour for it and the dash looks supurb, the speakers sort of look like Mini/ early Maxi (and what ever else) air vents. Spot on! The grill. Hmmmm...... Can I suggest something slightly contraversial? A slightly darker mettalic blue with the crome strips might look good. Looks good as it is though!! I know what wheels id be going for too.

I did think about spraying it the same colour as the car, and i guess ican always spray it silver again if i don't like it. I may give it a whirl.
