Came out of work tonight to find the car sat there with 4 flat tyres. Pumped them up and somebody's stabbed a hole in each sidewall. Probably kids as its mischievous night. We used to get up to some daft stuff, but thats going miles too far Matt

I know some insurers will cover vandalism, without touching your NCB, if it's any consolation.

as vandalism goes thats a 5/10 check this, linked off another forum I frequent. forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=123588&st=0Theres been quite a spate of this reported in cyberspace - seeming to usually be Subarus or Audis as the targets. Doesn't make your tyres any less of a ballache or expense of course.

Matt, thats curse word. Was this outside yours or your girls' place?? Either way, have to keep eyes on it after you get it sorted, or are you putting down to mischievous night and not specific harshness?? I have to say, i was paranoid the other night with my car being parked on the street D

It was outside halfords mate, in the bit round the side of the MOT bay.
Tried ringing your lass (i've lost your number for some reason you'll have to pm me it)to see if I could dump it outside yours overnight but it went to answerphone.
BTW that scooby is awful. I've got away quite lightly in comparison. I've got a spare set of wheels and tyres which I was going to refurbish and stick on which i'll fit tonight. Its just the faffing around yesterday to get home thats annoying, plus I know when I try and put the wheels on the jack won't go under it.

over the last couple of months my car has been attacked at least twice, possibly 3 times (twice in the same 12 hr period?) resulting in the side trim being partially pulled off the door, and the wing has been kicked. the second attack appears to have had somethign thrown at it resulting in a dent on the other wing. joy! have my ideas who it is tho and I do dare say that they WILL get there comeuppence.
curse word like this shouldnt happen. kids, people should respect other peoples stuff. i blame the government.

Sorry to hear that if it makes you feel any better, I found this today a nice dent in my bonnet with a trail of footprints to match. Seems like nothings sacred anymore and some kids/pissheads have no respect for property. Still, I do have one wish. One day the culprits will be all grown up and spend a fair amount of money on a car they'll be really proud of. Shortly after I really, really hope someone vandalises it

Sad thing/only consolation, depending on how you look at it, is that it will happen sooner or later, someone will smash something they value. As I learned the other week, when some delightful child kicked in the back wheel on my WEEK-OLD mountain bike. I was absolutely furious as I carried it home, until I remembered the various, very ill-advised things me and my mates did when we were kids... I don't believe in Karma, just sad inevitability.

All sorted now eventually. Had to chop 8 wheelbolts down with a hacksaw to get my steels on as they hit the brake shoes, then fit some small spacers on the front to clear the calipers. Looks loads better which is a bonus.

Last year I got my bonnet covered in paintstripper on 'mischief night' . It seems to be the thing with the kids in Wakefield/Dewsbury - how much damage you can do in one night.
