;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Well I've gotten it home and am over the Moon!! Drives well apart from the brakes which are very definitely warped discs so will get them sorted ASAP. The exhaust is blowing but no exxcessively and it has the little bits of rust that the seller highlighted. Over all I think it could have been a lot worse buying the car and collecting it without seeing it first. Anyway here are two rubbish pics!! Better Pics at the Weekend!

OOOOH cool deffo something I'm gunna look into, anything that gives it a bit more oomph!
I'm deseperate to get the brakes sorted and get it less boat like!!
Also how involved is a 5 speed conversion? Does the trans tunnel need to be "massaged"?

Whether a Weber gives more grunt is neither here nor there. A VV can quite easily drive you to distraction.
Great car. I miss my MKV days.

Andy will probably be able to fit one in twenty minutes. Definitely a good idea for the future. I used to hate the look of these tinas but they really are looking good nowadays. Yours looks pretty solid, had Ford sorted their rustproofing by this point?

Does the trans tunnel need to be "massaged"? tunnel should be fine, although the gearstick hole will need a clip before: tailend of the type9 rubbing on the tunnel after: I have a twin weber that will suit your pinto, and a 2 litre pinto, if you feel the need for more torque
