V5 ref no. is on the reminder IIRC, however, even though the car is taxed, it is an offence to drive without a valid tax disk in the car but as most coppers tend to use ANPR nowadays rather than actually looking, you should get away with it for a few days (I did ) Rysz.

you can tax it with the green slip, as long as you've not owned it for more than 6 months. so off to the post office with you

Glad you got the wheels ok mate , your car looks the danglies on them ;D I had planned to black the spokes and silver the rims for the Viva but i have to say I'm loving the white on your car... it really stands out! Ive never been a metro fan but looking at that is swaying me!!

Well, its been a while since I updated this last. The wellers have gone, they were too wide. I am keeping them for my turbo though Last Thursday I picked up this little lot. So, determined to fit it this weekend I headed down the unit. The standard inlet is the same casting as the exhaust manifold, so that was ruled out straight away. Plus I wanted to keep it in case I ever want to put it back to standard. So, I whipped the inlet manifold off of the turbo lump and went to bolt it to the car. BALLS! The flange was almost twice as thick on the turbo inlet. So, remembering something I had read in the Vizard book, I turned back to that standard inlet I wanted to keep. CHOP! Now I have an inlet manifold with a big chunk on unnessasary metal on the bottom that is going to foul the LCB. So, out comes the angle grinder. Then there was a powercut down the unit! Grr, so later after a good few hours with a file! Success, It fits! Its a close fit but I'm happy with the results. Sounds nice too. Sounds standard under normal driving but when you give it some it has a nice growl. Also gave it a wash and polish. Took the nephew out in it, he loves it. He has to sit up front with me because theres no seatbelts for his chair in the back Edd

Nice to see an early metro, but as said before give it some rust protection! I bought my k-series metro with 25k on it and no rust but just over a year later the arches are looking abit bubbly .
