They look like Keskins, not sure though. I was going to say mate, 1"? Whats wrong with you? Got to be at least 2/3" down to be ok!

if you cut them you'll need to bolt them in what does this look like? how do you bolt springs in? Got to be at least 2/3" down to be ok! you're right actually. does need at least 3 really. anyone know what the ratio of cuttig to lowering might be? ie cutting one coil gives Xcm of lowering. - i could have a go and see where it end sup

175/50/13 tyres make a massive difference to the handling too, do you think 165/55s would be worth while on the standard rims? it's got 145/70s on at the moment

165/55 is the standard size for the Sportings.

I have the remains of a Cinq Sporting in the garage *still* awaiting it's final journey over 'the bridge' - I sold a few bits but if you want anything let me know... eg I still have the suspension, and come to think of it a fancy backbox too.

Was rather hoping you fancied a trip up North so you could come and pull off whatever bits you like the look of However, might know of somebody travelling down your way who might transport bits for a tenner or two...

I sold my Cinq Sporting a few weeks ago: (Got £640 for it ) It's been lowered by 20mm (plus already lower 'cos it's a Sporting), has 14"x6 TSW wheels with 185/55R14tyres and has a massive twin pipe exhaust (that hit the ground constantly). Very fun car to drive, but NOT for someone who has a family or wants to put more than one shopping bag in the boot. They're also quite scary as they feel like they're made from old Coke cans!

more than one shopping bag in the boot. I was looking the cinq today thinking I might just run it with the back seats perminantly down. pretty big boot then! And as we all know folding the rear seats improves performance

I am considering getting a cinq for the winter and putting the bike to bed i know not a real biker as I have always been!
so what do I need to look out for? did have 2 unos as my 1st and 2nd car so know how much stick you can give em and also that they don't run on rails!
in addition with the lowering how low can you go before you naff up the tyres on a daily basis? as would consider a hit with the stick but don't want to make it costly in tyres!
