thought id better start on the floor welding 2day as it was more rottern then expected all the way under ,including the wishbone mount didnt have any the same shape so flat plate will have to do ,mind it is thinker and i added some extrea strengh on the wishbone joints , then wrapped the turbo manifold ,,this is why i welded it and didnt bother to polish it ,, then if u noticed had to alter the wastegate as i forgot about the other pipe , so ive orderd a small flexi for it ,to save the pipe cracking

;D what a nice reed!
I don´t know what you do for a living, but you would be a great "asset" to any modifying company, and i wonder why you haven´t started your own already. You wouldn´t be short of customers lining up, after they read this i´m sure.
A really cool project you have going, and i can´t wait to see an onboard video! (please make one when you are done ;D)
Keep up your good work, and best of luck doing it!!!

had to re mod the exhaust hole then make another part with a flexi in then like a idiot realised it was in the wrong end ,lol so more cutting was needed and a few pics of the caddy at mo and now noticed all need some either banded rims or some spacers on the rear due to the fronts sticking out a bit more

i do agree with u guys ,but the problem is ,i carnt find any 17 steel rims , as i carnt go smaller ,,if anyone has some ,,i wont them ,and ill have a day banding rims ,,, a couple bit of welding this after ,as i ripped the old chassi tunneling out as it was dam flismy and spot welded which with a few wacks with the hammer came ,off ,,so thought it that all what holds the dam floor from been flimsy ,so thought chuff this ill make a new one from 3mm plate and 3mm box ,, then got a nice buzz on the go ,with only one lump of hot weld in the ear lol just checked inside and a nice penitration inside too so lets see what may happern regards progress 2moz ,,,

a few bits this after as i picked up the other caddy 2day , after a quick wash i was a bit suprized and how good some part were ie ,rear bed ,engine bay, just mostly rought around th inner and outr sills etc anyway finshed off the welding and chassi repair then re routed the brake pipes and added a few extra homemade rubbers to hold the pipes nice to be able to jack the chassi and it not cave in lol and removed the anti surge ring as ive been wanting to remove it for over 2months ,as that now will make the buggar sound nice and whistle,,,

new passats have 18" space savers get them and get them banded! bit like these go on you know it would make sence nice idea but 18s wont go ,i aint chopping archer too ,plus ,,space savers arnt a good idea as theres no airflow thew the rims to cool those brakes , iv evern tryed a few of audi and they changed the wheel pcd to 5x112 grr ,,same as old type2 campers etc ,,so looks like this may have to happrn at a later stage when ive a more time to go rim hunting lol,but keep the ideas coming as if i get the change i will hav som ,(one day ,,)have to 17 as 16 go on just miss the calipars ,but id have to run 45 wal tyre which may be a but boncy and rolly around corners

well seen as the sun was shining this after thought id do itbit more cut and chop and yes more bloody welding lmao finished the brak pipes and fittings and the bit of welding i missed the exhaust was rubbing so ,the only way was make some room and needed a few patchers on the rear pannel too ,evern thow i was tempted to chop the lot out and make a bit more room and had time to still a patch on the rear bed ,as i was going to rip the lot out ,,but ,that more months of messing ,so ,,,that can be for another day ,, and wraped a bit of mesh around the pipe

ARrrrrrrrrrRRRRRGgggggghhhhhh!!!!
And don't you even think about some flashy paintjob. Primer with some odd-coloured spots and a few weird stickers on it would make the ultimate sleeper!
You rock.
PS; I know Renault put standard 17'' rims on the LagunaII . They look like steellies, but are actually lightweight alloy....
