cheers but they have to 5x100 17 space savers ,nothing else will do ,, keep an eye out incase u hear or see any cheers a few bit done and made today first thought id better finish the brake pipes off and bleed them up ,, nice nipple and was the last one too, that those bleed up and we have brakes ,,first time then realised I forgot to make a vacum system for the servo ,, so thought ill make one in the short runnner I was going to weld a lump of tube but thought ,erm ill had a nice tight ribbed rubber and use the correct bore and fitting next thing cut some lumps of servo pipe and warmed them up to fit nicely and shape the bends the fit around the engine couple of shots of the pipe around the engine then just a few patchers welded to the bed as its not straight next ill make a handbrake ,just the finish the brakes off altogther ,but I do have a problem ,,, that is ,i carnt put a intercooler and radiator behind the pannel as there only room for the radiator grr ,evern tryed a side to idea but ,it wouldnt cool right ,,so looks like ill just have to stick the buggar on the front ,,,something I didnt wont to do ,, :banghead:

could you not use audi rads ? I remember them being ultra skinny? I'm sure if you was to weld big enough pipes into the sides (cant remember if they are metal buthte core certainly is) you could have a large panel skinny intercooler with a hell of a lot of surface area

I have a caddy myself and am struggling to fit a GTD intercooler anywhere, so don't know how you manage to cheat space and get all that gubbins in there; respect!!!
Have you considered a B2 (mid eighties) Passat diesel rad??? Its nice and big, and slim, and might work with a slimeline fan... ...just an idea!!!

tryed these 18rims and there basicly too big and look daft ,,be nice on a mk4 golf so went hunting for wheels ,,bit of stress ,all the nice ones are 4stud ,, so looks like these will have to do ,,with the right tyres fitted that is only ones i could find with a 5x100 and a 3inch wide dish on a 17inch rim rears will need 20mm spacers thow and 235/40/17 tyres adding fronts will be 215 40 17 ,,so should grip a little more ,,I'm hopeing anyway plenty of calipar clearance too

Different size tyres front to rear with a 4x4? Can the system cope with that?

the same profile doesn't mean the same tyre wall height. the profile (40) is the percentage of the tyre width. 215/40 has 86mm total tyre height, so 43mm each side of the rim. 235/40 has 93.6mm total, so 46.8mm each side of the rim.
not a big difference but it may cause problems. I was always under the impression that 4wd motors should have the same size wheels and tyres all round?
edited to say, great fabbing skills by the way, i've been watching this thread intently and am loving it ;D

cheers kee , i have had one of each tyre side by side and they look the same height ,just one is wider ,, plus don't forget ,the set up I'm runing is electric rear diff so not permiant 4wd and also works a bit like a auto gearbox with fluid drive clutch plates ,which can be set for the amount of front to rear drive efficiency ,,carnt wait to crack on and get more done ,, but otherthings will have to be sorted first ,,grr

small update rear wheel spacers arrived thought id fitt hem then added the pair and looks loads better but unsure if ok ,as i reckon it should be because the rear is light and the tyres have a great dish inside and out side so should put extra load on the wheel bearings ,,,any thoughts

Holy wheel adaptor, Batman!
Are these as illegal in the UK as they are here in Oz? Either way, I think using two of them per side is seriously tempting fate. Does this mean you are using not two but three sets of wheel studs/bolts per wheel?! Even if the set-up is fine with all the bolts tight, what happens if one of the inner sets of bolts starts to work its way loose. I've had wheel bolts work loose and back themselves all the way out of the hub while driving, which caused an intriguing rattling sound in the hubcap! I prevent this from happening now by checking and tightening my wheel bolts fairly regularly. You're unlikely to take apart your stack of adaptors too often to torque up the inner wheel nuts.
You can do it if you like but I think you would be much better served (and considerably safer) trading in your wheels for some with the proper offset and running without any spacers/adaptors at all. Although that wouldn't go with your name I suppose!

Though they could still come loose depending on how much room they have.
