That's well Miami Vice. Loving it! Was the last picture taken near Bournemouth? And can people only get to the beach in the background via a long, savage footpath?

insurance isnt actualy that bad, i think i pay around £410 per year, boats worth £40k and thats with lpg onboard. the killer is mooring costs, I'm on the hamble and pay £400 a month, then theres fuel costs lol £800 to fill the tank, which i can kill over a weekend, maintanance seems to run into £4k a year, and ive even replaced both engines at a cost of £12k. its scary when i write it down......beer time lol don't think i could not have a boat of some type now. looking for a retro speed boat i can around in too.

Handily enough for someone that loves the beach I live in MK. Nice boat, inside looks proper babe magnet!

ive spent alot on it tryin to bring it a little upto date, but theres still loads i want to do, just keeping the outside clean and shiney is a right nightmare, and as soon as you do one job something else needs doin, at the moment i need to get the covers repaired as the wind damaged them, thats another £2k. I'm tempted to either go nuts and do a proper job on it with some new toys, or sell up and buy a bigger boat.

i was very into boats when i was younger and restorted an simms V (the model before the simms super V) and got an old 60's johnson outboard (33hp). Was brillient fun, not too fast (about 35 on a good day one up!) but was great fun! I took it to lake windermeer a few years back (6 or 7!) and spent a couple of weeks there just tearing about.
I am tempted by a boat again (not like i don't have a hobby though!) but i was thinking about making one from scratch using ridgid roof insulation carved to shape and FGed, and sticking in a small light car or bike enigne

No idea about actual model names etc, but when I was little my uncle had some sort of wooden hulled speedboat with a jag straight six engine in. Went like the bloody clappers from what I remember and all the jet-skiers used to do jumps on the bow wash.

I have a 47 foot narrowboat from the 1970s. 2 cylinder Bukh engine.
Nothing special, just a never ending round of rust control, epoxy paint and 8 anodes.
I lived on it for a few years but now it's purely recreational.

"remember, you're never more than 72 miles from the coast". mk region could be right.
