Nothing original and it's been done before but..... I got a complete interior from a Vauxhall Calibra fro under a tenner a while ago. The driver's seat was pretty scabby but I was going to put the passenger seat in my van. Anyhow, plans changed and my cheapo Morrisons computer chair was getting past it so I decided to spend a couple of hours making this: Weld some bits of scrap I had lying around to the seat to make a bracket. Quite impressed really as there was only 1 small fire and that was just a bracket holding the plastic trim to the side! " I see white brackets I must have them painted black....." Then bolt the base on to said brackets and the result is far more comfortable than the other one ever was. I left the cable for the seat heater intact so if I decide it's getting too cold I could always rig up a 12v transformer......

Nice one, looks comfy, although it has indeed been done before... By me ;D Sorry 'bout the sideways pics, photobucket's being bent fixed it Volvo 340 seats, made an "adaptor plate" from wood and fixed to a cheapo base from staples. The only problem is the huge amount of padding combined with the bracket that fits around the slider means that even tall mountain folk struggle to touch the floor when it's at its lowest. Seat heater too

I don't have an office chair version, but I did put four rubber feet onto one of the Cobra Classic lowbacks I had in the Yugo, and now use it as a gaming chair for the Xbox360

since my car is fully stripped atm waiting for a new, shiny coat of paint, i thought, why not use the seat temporarily as computer chair. Made it in an hour with the use of the standard chair base (which was a nice thick plate of wood ). Now i like it so much, i think i need to find another one for in the car ;D
