Bought this last week for not a lot of money. Nice sensible family car. 2.0 16V. Not quick by any stretch of the imagination. Lowered it an inch the other day as an experiment. I think its lowered in that picture but its hard to tell. I gave it a little bit of a tidy up today. Lowered the front a bit more, painted the wheels, Took off the stripes and painted the grill. I think this is probably the least retro car i've ever owned ;D

nice! my parents drive an absolutely flawless 1.6 sedan in mettalic red, full option too (aircon, central locking, nice velour seats etc.) they drive like a new car imho. Best car i've driven, and i absolutely love the seats (i don't like rock hard seats from moderns)

Nice work, I'd love a 4 door one of these in my fleet at some point.

Cool daily burner. Is it staying like that or are there any other ideas?

good cars these if little souless to drive... I persuaded my mate to by a 1.6 16 v one of these and it used run on the smell of an oily rag....was just so economical but corners were a bit scarey! My dads mate has an ex taxl 2.0 diesel one which was possibly the slowest car on the planet but had covered over 400k on original motor and box!!

Its going to get lowered a bit (lot) more once i get the coilovers on it also theres a set of banded steels in its future but other than that just subtle stuff. I need to keep it as a sensible wife and kids type car so just little cosmetic bits really.
It is totally soul less to drive though, your right. It makes it worse that its so comfortable too, you can easily nod off on a nice straight bit of road ;D

Some shiny bits turned up in the post today. Some of those cheap nasty ones from ebay that i'm always slagging off. Thought i'd put my money where my mouth is and prove how rubbish they are ;D On full drop they look ok but the front needs to come down a bit more. Might look into shortening the legs a bit. Heres a before to compare it to. Its firmed it up a bit on the road though although the road noise is a lot more noticable now. My rear shocks are totally shot though so i need to get a new pair before i can make an objective assesment of them though.
