LOL, no cavmad, i'm currently building the new Datsun Owners Club website and in the process I managed to get my mitts on the SMMT report for all Datsuns & Nissans known to them and the DVLA (the proper list). I've deleted off the part with all the moderns on - the bit big companies get charged STUPID amounts of money to see - and am publishing up to about 1985/86 on the site. Obviously the list is never gonna be 100% accurate due to the SORN regs palava meaning theres bound to be some tucked in barns/garages etc that were put away before the regs. But its the best source we've got to gauge figures Did you throw the bluey info away?

Well I've only ever seen 4 Other MK1 Metro Auto's. Two of them being the same colour as mine, so I would imagine there's not that many left.

Rarer than you'd think if you factor in engine size and number of doors. I've never seen another mk3/4 1.6 3dr Estate. I doubt the figures are spectacular, though.

I phoned Mazda for a piece of trim for my '77 323. The parts guy was amazed - he said he thought there were none of these left in the UK. I am guessing there must still be a few tucked away, although there must only be a handful of early chrome bumper, round headlight ones.
Still, he did find a part number, and the part is on order from somewhere in Europe. Brilliant! Got stars to Norwich main dealer Mazda...

I always hesitate to say 'my car is rare/unique/special' because you just know that it'll provoke a response from some nutcase in deepest Dorset who's had 12 of them in barn for years, but here goes - My 1977 Celica TA40 GTV - I'ts a JDM only import and Ive been asking questions on the www for years and so far haven't found another anywhere, including Japan, so is it the only survivor? Another JDM Celica - 1978 GT Rally Coupe - as far as I know, one of two GT-Rally in Europe and the only Coupe. The other one, a green L/B was in the Irish Republic (surprise!) last time I saw it. If anybody knows of any more, get in touch...

There's quite a few Amazons still kicking around - there's 3 within a 10 mile radius to me. Total production was around 700,000 and a fair few of those are still in use. Only 73,196 estates were made in total, & many ended up being driven into the ground Survivors still not exactly rare though, especially when compared to other estate cars of a similar age, & the Amazon range in general are one of the most (if not the most for a non UK marque) popular classic cars for everyday use in this country. My Sprite is quite a rare variant in cmparison, firstly as it's a very early version of that model (a few details were changed a month or so after it was built) & also Mk2s went through a period where they were very much unloved and considered useful only to restore a Frogeye (understructure etc is 99.9% identical & essentially the only welding needed for an accurate conversion is replacing the rear wings & shroud). No idea of numbers left of either in the UK, but considerably more of both will have survived abroad.

Talbot Rancho, there was supposed to be only 10 left on the roads in the UK mine is not on the road yet so that will make it 11. But what about Mk1 Sierra estates or Cortina shape P100's?
