Here's my golf gti, I've been running it like that for around 12 months now and its time to freshen it up a bit, but i'm unsure of what to do? I've considered the following, * Fit g60 15" steels with a suitable low profile tyre as opposed to the 14" steels on at the moment. * Paint the g60 steels a different colour? but what colour? Besides this its having the top end rebuilt as it gone a bit rattly and i'll be looking at detailing the engine bay.......but again I need to pick a colour to detail it in as I was thinking I could match the wheel colour perhaps? Any ideas guys?

would look fresher with some pressed black and silver plates I think, maybe paint the steels red? looks clean as it is really.

Just peruse vortex and edition 38 and look for wothersee (sp?) photos
Everything you could possibly think of has been done to a Mk2 at some point and you'll see it there...
however, if you think of something that hasn't been done, do it quick before someone else does.

That looks a really nice, tidy Mk2 GTi! G60 steelies would look great, I reckon either silver or black. I don't think it needs much elsee - maybe a debadged front grille. What bumpers are they? It's that lower white (or chrome... can't make it out) stripe that's confusing me, can't recall seeing it before.

Think silver G60 steelies would look the best, and keep the badged grill don't like debadged ones myself could get a black badge though

silver g60 steelies are the coolest, engine wise, i think silver block with satin head, do the rest a mix of silver and satin and itd look really cool.
id leave the outside of the car alone, its clean looking
are those the early bumpers?? they're quite sought after arent they, altho GSF sell em

They're pattern bumpers, not originals.GTI's had redinsert too,but I much prefer the chrome ones on this car. Black and silver plates would do it no end of good, perhaps try some crystal headlights and give your crystal indicators a bit of orange on em,to give it the "standard but not" look.Would look nice and crisp IMO. G60 steels would look wicked, perhaps a flattish dark primer grey powdercoat? Think black would be too much IMO.Like the bubblegum pink idea, but depends if thats the look you want!
