Lad I know (jon c) sent me a thread of the Yorkshire Gits meet so thought I might aswell join up and stick up some pictures of my mk1, as ill probably venture down to some meets.
My Cars got the nickname of Mango, cos of the MGO at the front of the plates, so thats how everybody knows it now. Bought it a year and 5 months ago now, and have loved every minute. Went Very well and looked the cats PJ's.
When I bought her, it had coilovers, zender turbo's, power rohr, full ansa race system and 4-2-1 manifold, and some serious negative camber
The Cars had a full restoration and has even been sprayed underneath the floor pan, and the whole underside of the car, however some paint had cracked inside the gutter's and around the filler cap a little cracking.
So after saving for a while and then seling my Bora I got her resprayed and bought loads of goodies. I decided to convert to a small light rear panel and small bumpers as I like the look, so thought id try it.
Took the Car to C.B. Auto's In Leeds (as Hull bodyshops overcharge) and they did a great job. They put the rear panel on and also welded up any unwanted holes to give a nice smooth look.
The Wheels, bbs rm 15 x 8 and 8.5” with cream centres.Strawberries and cream and all that.
Then I got the car back,
Ive Probably bored you enough anyway, but heres the pictures as it is now. Ive Also bought a G60 Supercharged corrado engine that I'm currently stripping and detailing before A&A Motors fit it, later this Month....
Anyway Tell me what you think either way J
