It all started on sunday when someone kindly reversed into my MG she didn't see me even though the its bright orange so i need to get that inot a bodyshop. Then i worked on the E30 and i couldn't remove the sump after undoing all 29 bolts as there is not enough clearance, so i undone the engine mounts and tried jacking it up and it didn't move! so i gave up on that so thats in bits on the drive. My Monitor on my PC went bang on Tuesday night so i have limited use of my brothers pc....so not much time to browse on here. Then today the the fuel gauge has stopped working on the MG got a track day next week so need to get it sorted. Wonder what else will happen before the weeks over?

Yep, so far this week Ive broke my new cd player only 3 days after fitting it! The escorts Gearbox is making whining noises and breakes have gone all 'wobbly'.
To top it off i managed to loose my keys 5mins before work finished. Then wasted an hour looking for them. ended up having to hotwire the car to get home ;D

Not the best week - I'm stuck at home after an operation last week, and my left shoulder is still feeling a bit sore (I can't drive yet either). I've decided that I never want to see another needle again.... Could be worse though, I could be at work! got the MG BGT's MOT on Friday which i Aint looking forward too at all I know how you feel - my Amazon is having it's MOT once the welding is done (the bill will be at least £1K) but when I spoke to the guy about it yesterday, it turns out that this includes waxoyling, undersealing and also painting in body colour where appropriate! Hopefully, he'll also be able to take some photos before they weld in the new sections and also before the paint etc - this will make the bill slightly less unpleasant. Also working out when I'll be well enough to work on the Sprite as it needs new halfshaft seals & rear brake shoes (guess where the axle oil went) before it's MOT in a month's time...

Hope you are feeling better Paul H, I bet you can't wait to get back into your cars Sounds like some good work on the Amazon, tell him to be a bit slap dash with the spray gun, don`t want it to look too good, should make it last another 30 years though.

Thanks! All is ok - just need to relax for a while. You're right though, I can't wait to drive again, especially as summer is nearly here I also need to deliver the spare Sprite engine to my brother in Bristol, so that he can rebuild it. As for the Amazon, the repaired areas will stick out like a sore thumb, as the paint will be better than anywhere else on the car - a big incentive for me to sort out the rest of the bodywork ;D

Try having the student loans company stiff you for £400 cos they've lost all the paper work and reckon I should be paying them. I have to cough up THEN argue the toss with them... otherwise they'd stick their willies up my bum in the county court. And I REALLY don't need that kinda sh1t.

today the scirocco blew the top off the header tank level sensor, ejecting the entire contents of the cooling system onto the engine/road - on the school run too, so i had to ring school and get 'em to hang onto the child and then ring my missus to bomb home from work to pick her up.
one dash to GSF in snottingham later and i'm back on the road... hopefully.... take lots of water with me to big bang, and my breakdown details!
add to that general skintness, hassle from banks, hassle from Orange cos they forgot to cancel a contract but that's my fault obviously.... bah! i can't wait to get ratar$ed at the weekend!

sky are absolute f''kers!
i transferred my old account, in a shared house, into one of the other tenants names when i moved out. a year later a solicitors letter arrives at my new address asking for £120! apparently the phrase "please cancel my account and set up a new one for my housemate" and then handing the phone to said housemate to give his details, actually means "please set it up so we have two accounts but only one digibox. ignore anything i say about cancelling an account. please shaft me for as much cash as possible"
i wrote a snotty letter to them and called the solicitors to put the account on hold.... if that doesn't work then i'll take it to watchdog.

My week sucks. My E30 has air in the clutch hydraulics and it's been raining all week so I can't swap out the clutch slave and bleed it. It was so bad yesterday that I'm borrowing my mom's (formerly mine) Pontiac Grand Am to get to work today.
I'm hoping the swap and bleed will fix it, if not I need all new hydraulics from the feed line down to the cabin to the master, through the firewall and into the slave
