Ciao Retroisti Why ohhh why do I attract old things (instead of young firm women) ? Last week a dude walks into the shop You like old Vespas don't ya??? well kind of, I have one in 3 boxes, everything is there but it's not nice, €50 and it's all yours. I go out and find a complete Vespa V50 Special (smallframe) from 68, sure there's rust and dents but everything is there and after splitting the motor I found it was fitted with a Simonini crank, DR 90cc cylinder & 18mm carb, with the motor split it will get a new Malossi 110cc cylinder, 20mm Malossi/Dellorto, Malossi clutch and springs, Polini down-under race exhaust, new bearings, seals & gaskets. The body has just been sandblasted and now every hole will be welded shut and made somewhat straight and get a coat of grey primer, a set of dropped bars from SIP is on order otherwise lights (a Biker is not afraid of the dark) and other unneccesary stuff will be left off and the little scoot be turned into a Bonneville Baby, 10" Moon Discs and some kind of race seat to top all of.... Inspiration for it was this picture posted here a while ago.... Here are some early shots of what was in the boxes.... DP says: Stay tuned...

I already have a Zirri 135cc with watercooled head motor in another smallframe so I know how they run but this one is perfect for a Bonneville Baby....

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Don't think so, my Zirri 135 is a real monster, the reason for Malossi 110cc is that it's a bit more reliable and don't need huge carb, hopefully a bit more driveable since I really would like to go crusing with SSK Svenska Scooterklubben at their events, the Zirri is way to high strung for something like that.....

Ciao Retroisti Today a box of candy from SIP Scooters landed with a Retro Look Horn Cover to replace the square 70's stock thingie, also scored a Polini down-under-around pipe, hope it will play with the Malossi 110cc cylinder that landed the other day. Now I'm waiting for the body to come home welded & sand blasted from Hot Rods by Max so I can lay down some coats of suede before it goes back to Hot Rods by Max for extensive pinstriping work.... DP says: Man this is fun but will most likely ruffle some feathers in the (verry conservative) Swedish Scooter Scene...

THIS IS A BLAST!!!!! Still waiting for the body to arrive home again so I can paint it, during the time Max at Hot Rods by Max has been working on it he has also become hooked on this so he found a Vespa 125 Primavera Smallframe in the back of a barn full of old Ford 30's parts and now he's also gone Vespa junkie, his will be a clone of his suede black 34 3-window, more on it later... Got a batch of stuff from Malossi, a 57.2mm cylinder kit, SHB 20/20 carb kit and a clutch.... Some black stuff.... .....and some bling bling from SIP Scootershop..... Fresh paint, bearings, o-rings, shock and some bling on the front fork.... Chrome rims with Schwalbe Power Slick fitted and a painted rim with a Pirelli MT230 (for the rear duuu..) so I can go terrorize at Heron Hill Climb 2008.... DP says: My Bonneville Baby will rock!!!!!

God I'm starting to hate people that always get cool things for cheap/next to nothing! Looking awesome I'm seriously getting the horn for another smallframe (said that before I'm sure!)
