unforunately i have some very valid excuse, due to be a father mid may, so a very young baby going camping is out of the question.
but i will still force psmurfy (won 1300 under class at RR '07, if you exclude the imp) to build one ;D

Out of curiosity, do the racers have to have wheels in a specific position, do they have to be two at the front, two at the back for example? Could it be one at the front and three at the back?
This has got me thinking!

Almost full scale model of the front axle. The Laser cutter is the most useful piece of equipment I've ever used! 3 minutes work: Shes starting to come along ;D

Let 'drag' be our watchword here, but it will look hard... As the great David Lee Roth once said, 'It's not how well you do, it's how good you look whilst doing it...'

I'm not planning to win. I'm planning to have a soap box racer with banded steels, chopped springs, bodged brakes and still get to the end without falling apart

Faster. Faster. Until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.

very nice! what you thinking re: brakes? Solid rear axle with one disc brake. I know implications with speed differentials, but it'll allow me to fit a small engine later on should I want one ;D

What are the narrowest 10" tyres you can get? Needs danger stretch for a laugh.
