Hello, I´m newbie in your forum. I was surfing one day and I found one of my cars in here, it´s in a general board (gorgeous TA17).
This is great place and you have awesome cars in here.
I thought I would add one of my Toyotas to here.
This is -72 Toyota Carina TA12, 2-door sedan. All of those first gen carinas were 2-door models in Finland.
I bought this one 1999, it was completely original, never welded, only 160000km driven etc. I thought I would keep it stock ;D
But my moped struckled out of my hands. First I bought US-model tail-lights, then I added 15" alloys, then I have to drop it, cause it looked stupid.
It looked nice, but with original powertrain, it was suitable just for low-speed cruisin´
Enginebay looked crappy, because someone had painted it black and totally ignored it after that.
I did few things to that it would look littlebit like car looked otherwise.
It was 2003 when I desided I have to do something. Or my friend asked if I need something for my Carina from maleysia. Then I realised, that I need something. After two days, I have figured what I need.
I Bought Altezza RS200 (SXE10) front cut + rearaxle.
It tooked approx 2 months after I got it, to that my carina was in a car show with its new powerplant.
In 2004 it looked like this.
And enginebay has turned into this.
It tooked over a year from that until I got that engine running. Few problems with wiring diagrams.
Nowadays it looks like this.
