shell super was indeed 20/50 grade, I use the duckhams stuff (bright green !!)
I had to reseach the shell super as I needed to change the oil in the gearbox and overdrive as well....

I would imaging that you should try to get an oil with the same viscosity when hot as cold, or else you'll wind up with a bumpy ride after a long trip!

Not been able to do anything for a few days but hoping to get on with it this week. I'm gonna go with the 20W/50 for the shocks - Rottie thanks for that info. Big Monkey, I think a bumpy ride is gonna be the case whatever!  |

OK, Sorry but you're not going to get the full-on effect tonight 'cos I didn't get a chance to do the back end. Also got some more step-by step photos to continue the how-to aspect of the thread and don't want to ruin the flow by going to and fro too much. But lets just say all the planning and maths were worth it - it is spot on where I reckoned it would be.  Suspension: It really is too highly rated. ;D |
