SUCH an improvement mate, glad to see a car like this being rescued from certain doom. mcbodge: get your apprentice to do a viewing/test drive on one of these, and on a corsa - he'll soon change his mind, once you've driven a corsa, it's an experience you never want to repeat.

Thanks for the encouragement peeps, can't wait to actually drive the bloody thing!! Once the clutch is sorted and I've sorted the oil leak (fingers crossed its not the HG ) Its going to be getting some cosmetic work and then lowered and some more performance related mods.

The perspex rear door cards, SX seats and front bumper are free to a good home if anyone wants to come and pick them up.
sell the seats, but destroy the rest for the good of humanity :-)
Wood screws FTW! My old 106 was held together with wood screws and mastic from the previous owner ;-)
De chavving a car is quite therapetic - its like righting a wrong :-)

Its an awesome feeling...as you say righting wrongs!

I do quite like the idea of perspex/lexan door cards though (although unpainted!) - only if the interior of the door is tidy and nicely painted though!

I sold some 'emfree miraz' through ebay, which were clearly cheap replicas and i stated they were, and the bloke still gave me negative feedback because they werent real BMW M3 ones...for £18

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Yeah turbo conversion is indeed a popular one. I think I'll be heading down the 1242 engine from a Punto with some scrapyard tuning.....after that who know's in reality It'll probably be sold haha.

Insurance for him (18yo) on a Sporting would be £2500.... He wouldn't know a good handling car if he rolled over it's bonnet anyway...

I tend to irrationally feel sorry for inanimate objects, my Saxo was also in a reet state when I bought it. I'm just an idiot really ;D Love euro but prolly won't go that far with it.
