don't worry, wasnt going to try and rat look it with more dents or sanding etc. just not panic if it gets a bit of wear and tear here and there etc. I was thinking black P-slots with polished P's as a turn around to usual.. failing that, I do like the Woodgrain effect covering on the slammed blue one up above. I didnt know the chrome band grille was so popular? might be worth parting with it... what sort of value do they hold? Have a look at the finished auctions on the bay, I seem to remember seeing them go for £100 before, but weather you'd get that now.....worth a try though !

You're on to a winner with the p-slots and lowering mate, it works well. I painted my wheels like this, it had a 60mm drop. You'll not miss the chrome on the grill either.

Nice car BTW Yep, i as going to do the sides, just so that the P's stand out the other way if you get me? Mike - agreed, looking around at some other golfs (like yours etc) the all balck grille is my first preference anyway. Will go a long way towards a set of coilovers.. (then i can go for my 80-100mm drop! Looks like i might now have a set of tyres for the car too! Stretchy ones aswell!

Sigh...I'm so tired of seeing Ugly's car. It's different, sure...but I'm sure he'd like to be able to put on pants for once. He must get tired of the endless ball-licking.
It was great for about 10 minutes IMO...then, it got boring.

Its a good car and he did lots to it.. far more then many of us would attempt with our own cars (Golfs or not!) but it has become a bit of an icon Time for something fresh i agree... but all of them are nice, thats what makes the car world so interesting!

Oh yeah, I'm still trying to 'decode' how he did it all. It is a very cool car, and quite inspirational as far as 'low' goes...but, I'm tired of seeing it everywhere, lol.

He's used some heavily modded coilovers for a Honda too...that's the main part I'm looking at. They're short as heck .

I'm not saying its the best car evarrrrrr or anything like that, but it looks pretty goddamn cool to me. You're right about it being everywhere now though... cant turn around without seeing another pic of it. ALso, I liked it better with the roof racks.

The P slots should look good on there. You decide on tires yet?
I'm trying to source a set for my turbo Tercel.

He's used some heavily modded coilovers for a Honda too...that's the main part I'm looking at. They're short as heck . I used some generic Honda coilovers for the Camry too. Just a press fit onto the strut casing and a collar welded around the bottom to keed it from sliding down. Works pretty good. Actually, the ride isnt even that bad since the Camry is ALOT heavier then a Civic the spring rates work out OK. Up next is the strut towers and raising the engine/trans.... Its still to damn high. Like seriously, what did Toyota think they were building? Monster trucks?

The P slots should look good on there. You decide on tires yet? I'm trying to source a set for my turbo Tercel. if funds allowed it would be the 155/55/14's that nankang make (under £30 per corner) but they will have to make do with a set of 195/60/14's i have here.. not the the most rubber band like of tyres, but they are almost with full tread and it save some money in the meantime!
