back to the plot rear valance widened and fitted. tubework round the rear tub is fully welded and ground back and the last job for today was to start the removal of all the unwanted metal around the lower door bits and seals

new man size inner sills being made. this joins onto the door step and will be covered by an outer sill at a later date. part of this is the mounting for the body to sit on the chassis

pic showing the start of the chassis. this is how the main body,s mounted to the chassis .bolts holding outside part of chassis to sill plates outside shot showing flange nuts welded on. at a later date an outer sill will be added to cover these over. at this stage the body is welded to the chassis table to stop it moving when welding main chassis rails under construction and roughly in possition. they kick in at the rear so the seat bases can be recessed slightly into the floor. exhausts should hopefully run in between these two rails and under the prop shaft. they need a kick up at the front yet for the front suspension to mount on. cars going on air so the chassis will sit on the floor once dumped

That front view looks the dogs mate! I was round at the garage tonight and this car is awesome, Wayne's work is superb as always. (have to say that as he rebuilt my chassis, lol)

Certainly not just another mini thread - great fabrication skills thanks saturday mornings update while my welder cools down chassis rails in place and lots of crossmembers the possition of these all serve a purpose at a later stage of the build front kick up cant do a lot else here till the air bags turn up. then I can fabricate the suspension and steering around them close up of a bit at the rear
