hi can I have first refusal on the borbets plz? ? how much are they going to be?? condition/tyres and your location ect...... thanks Borbets are already sold sorry mate. Thanks for everyones kind comments on the car. Nice to see shes popular! Plans for the car at the mo are to restore the body to perfect factory fresh and probably add a set of 6 spoke compomotives. Like the way the car looks as standard bodywise with the twin lights. Probably a well stripped interior with all interior paintwork finished to exterior standard. :)Then an engine transplant. Got a few ideas floating round my head but suggestions welcome. ;D don't really weant to go the xe route because although it is a fantastic conversion its now also very common these days.

Yeah mate you will do! Been busy since the pics were taken! Started stripping her for the rebuild now. Now sitting on mismatched 14in original gt/e wheels glass out interior out. Wee bit welding to do but much better than any other manta i've had. ;D Off work on thursday so will take more pics and update.

I'm rather partial to a Manta too. My dad baught a Red A plater new, the only new car he's ever had, sadly a long time gone. My bro's had two a dolphin grey exclusive lowered over oz super t's and his current retro goodness, a silver i200.
Good luck with yours.

Right time for an update to show progress so far! Heres how she looks after the stripdown. Unfortunately unable to get her fired up and out the garage today due to a flat battery! Lifted all the sound proofing tar from the floor and boot by way of heat gun to see what I had to contend with rustwise. Found some rust but from previous experience with mantas pretty happy with this one! Shes pretty good. :)They can and do rust! ;D Does anyone have any suggestions for removing the glue left behind on the floor after the tar was removed? Proper nasty stuff! ;D Anyway here the pics. Enjoy! Passenger side floor bit of rust above jacking point and chassis leg. Sound proofing tar all lifted. Interior well stripped out for the rebuild. Drivers side floor bit of rust above chassis leg and jacking point same as passenger side all tar lifted. Rear floor. Getting metal heat sheild off was a nightmare! ;D Not the clearest of pics but clearly visible that abortion of an exhaust! ;D Small patch of rust in bottom corner of rear arch same both sides. Small hole in spare wheel well. Boot floor otherwise perfect! Boot lock needing replaced due to being forced at some point. No probs though got a new lock set. Engine bay still with good old cih 2.0 8v. ;D For now. Bit welding needed on battery tray and a not very well done small patch on inner wing to sort. Not bad though. Passenger side footwell small bit of rust and holed on seam common manta problem. Drivers side perfect and original! Earlier and imo better looking steering wheel from manta sr.
