Hi .. I read the article with enjoyment but the below had me confused. Please can you or anybodyelse tell me what is the difference with the 2 different measurements you have provided on you thread ? Below are the examples if you could explain …thanks
‘The lengthened TCA's that I made are 135mm centres between the inner pick-up point, where they bolt to the Anglia x-member,and where the anti-roll bar bolts through.’
‘Yes,they're 325mm from the centre of the inner mounting point to the center of the anti-roll bar mounting point.Hth.’
Thank you all for being informative and sharing your experience Mellin South africa

Hi Mellin, I obviously wrote down the wrong measurement in one of my posts, probably the earlier one. If I have time at the weekend I'll try and get to the car and attempt to measure them again but it's been stuck in my garage for the past few years and is now a convenient work bench, storage unit, so is covered and surrounded by sh*t.

I went in the garage this morning and measured the TCAs and they are 325mm from the centre of the inner mounting point to the centre of the anti-roll bar mounting point.
I have no idea where the 135mm came from and have edited it in my original post.

For the last couple of years I have been using the front of my Anglia as a workbench by placing a sheet of wood across the wings while I did various fibreglass projects on my Rickman but after seeing a couple of superb 105E's at the recent AVO show that I attended I thought it was about time I turned it back into a car so here it is blinking into the daylight. I'm not saying I'll actually do anything to it but at least it's no longer covered in resin and fibreglass.

It's easy to let projects slide for a bit - which then turns into years! Get stuck in and show us some progress reports!

Back in the mists of time I posted a photo in this thread of an Alan Mann Escort as one source of inspiration for my Anglia. One of the little details that I wanted to blatantly steal was the battery cut-off switch mounted on the left of the rear panel. So in an attempt to reignite a spark of interest in my 105E last week I knocked one up. The battery cut-off switch jobbie, not the Escort. I started off by cutting up some 16g off cuts of sheet and pipe that I had lying around along with one of several switches I seem to have accumulated over the years. Which kind of fitted together like this. I then melted them together with my mig... ...and rattle canned on some appliance white. I'm just waiting on a new supply of pop rivets and then I'll attach it to the rear of the Anglia hopefully one evening this week or the weekend at the latest.

I think I lost sight of that vision for a long time but recently it has re-formed clearer than before. ^^^ That is some inspired work, Very nice Cheers Monty. I don't know why it's taken me so long to do a little project like that and it's certainly sparking my interest in the car again. I just hope it lasts.

Here's the finished cut-off switch thingamajig all riveted onto the back of the Anglia. Even though I was pretty careful I still managed to catch the paint which'll have to be touched up one day but overall I'm quite happy with how it's turned out. My next little project is a modified dashboard.

It's still sat in the garage covered in sh*t and currently being used as a bench for my tile cutter while I'm doing the bathroom in my flat.

Remember just over a year ago I mentioned making a modified dashboard? Well here it is. I'm not sure whether it is finished or not quite yet as I'm umming and arring about fitting a push button starter switch to it but can't decide.
