hi oldbus its coming on well. a question. was the pump mounted under the tank on the granada originally. looking at youre pics the pump now mounts at the side of the tank. this may cause you problems. when i done my 2.9i conversion i mounted the pump and filter simular to what youve done. whenever i pulled away from standstill the car would stall(automatic) didnt seam to matter how much petrol was in the tank. if you pulled away using no throttle and then used it it was ok. asked around and was told the granni pump should be located under the tank for it to work properly. moved mine down to just under and never had the problem again.
not saying youre going to have the same problem but it looks a very simular set up

good work Dave, bet you nearly cried when you saw the damage after it fell off the jacks Thanks mate, fortunately my youngest was in the garage when it happened which kept me quiet, if iĀ“d have been on my own the neighbours would have learnt a few new english words!!! hi oldbus its coming on well. a question. was the pump mounted under the tank on the granada originally. looking at youre pics the pump now mounts at the side of the tank. this may cause you problems. when I done my 2.9i conversion I mounted the pump and filter simular to what youve done. whenever I pulled away from standstill the car would stall(automatic) Thanks Mr. Nobody, if i get the same problem then iĀ“m in the brown & sticky. IĀ“ve got no choice with the pump, if i fit it below the tank itĀ“ll be scraping along the floor. The original 24V setup had the pump in the tank, iĀ“ve used a 2.8 one which was next to the tank. IĀ“ll just have to cross my fingers and hope and if it doesnĀ“t work iĀ“ll have to modify the tank again and fit the 24V pump. Great progress Davee.... You got PM, and Nicloa says we should be on for the 1st June. Getting there on our own , in your convoy. Ok Rian, weĀ“ll plan a stop at your place then before we link up with the south east convoy DonĀ“t worry Herr Net, Grizz knew, that i knew what he was on about!

To be honest iĀ“m not sure what iĀ“ll be doing with it The problem is iĀ“ve got to get the van done.... then finish this off....... this is waiting for me to get my finger out too... and iĀ“ve promised my son weĀ“ll get stuck into his Taunus soon.... There are just not enough hours in the day...

That taunus needs a UK mk3 front on it, its much prettier and i guess would be unusual over your side of the water.

No worries on that score Dave, theundertakers 24v Capri is running the stock 2.8 injection 'next to the tank' pump with no issues

Sorry mate but no chance, thoseĀ“ll be the first things i rip off when i get started... ;D Buy yourself a Capri and you can have mine... ;D That taunus needs a UK mk3 front on it, its much prettier and I guess would be unusual over your side of the water. I agree, but weĀ“ll have it registered on a historical numberplate once itĀ“s done and it has to be in original (unmodded ) condition! that capri is the sex!! you have a very good taste in automobiles! Thanks Ben, except for the spoiler and louvres i agree IĀ“ve got no choice with the pump, if I fit it below the tank itĀ“ll be scraping along the floor. No worries on that score Dave, theundertakers 24v Capri is running the stock 2.8 injection 'next to the tank' pump with no issues Cheers cheeqi, havenĀ“t got much choice really. IĀ“ll just have to test it and see how it runs. Thanks for your advice, much appreciated. As iĀ“m a bit busy at work at the moment iĀ“ve not been able to get out in the garage this week but iĀ“ve been able to catch up a bit today. I spent all day today getting the fuel lines sorted. IĀ“ve managed to modify the Scorpio ones to fit and iĀ“ve laid the cables out to the pump and fitted my home made bracket behind the towbar.... IĀ“ll get some petrol tomorrow and see if itĀ“s all watertight and pumping properly so that we can get it up and running next weekend (hopefully ) Thanks for looking in......
