heres some pic of my previous cars: my first car, 1963 mk1 mini with 1380 engine (also my first project): should never have sold it. my midget, wish i'd kept it... my fiat amigo, these are fantastic, if only i hadn't flogged it... (notice a theme!): also had a '91 alfa 33 cloverleaf which was the best car i've ever owned

Oooof! That Mini is gorgeous is every stage. The interior rocks, and how tidy your 1380 engine bay was!
Very tidy VVC installion, even better you have the LSD 'box! I like it alot, and your other motors are cool.

cheers! it isn't an lsd box but seems to put the power down ok, its not a vvc motor - its a 1.8 with ported vhpd head, sports cam etc etc to get 165 bhp. interior is red and black seude specialy made!

That mini is awsome, the a-series detailing must have took you ages.
How did you manage to do that red?

thanks, yeah the a series looked pretty good and it was a tough decision to pull it out but someone offered me the right amount for it and i've always wanted a big modern engine. the red is just some metalic red spray paint from halfrauds with plenty of laquer, the rocker cover doesn't get hot enough to cause any problems.

is that a mini mpi radiator in there? does it do the job ok considering you have 165bhp?
i have redtop (2l 16v) in my clubman. i did at first use a mpi rad but thought it wasn't up to it. i'm running a 903cc fiat uno alloy rad as its the biggest size for the space (and water wetter too). the uno rad is a 50% bigger - not much but should be ok.

got some more bits planned, currently building a sweedish style roofrack (chrome & wood), some overriders and coner bars on their way (front bumper to go back on), already fitted a works style lucas boot mounted reverse lamp and i'm looking to pick up some old lucas spots for the front. i'm also thinking of getting some steelies for the ultimate sleeper look, either painted white or with full moon hubcaps like these: what do ta think??

yeah its an mpi rad, seems to be up to the job - doesn't go above half way on the gauge even when thrashing it or in traffic. the k series are pretty efficient at cooling which helps.
the midget looks good but it really needed stripping down and the bodywork sorting and i wanted to get on with the mini... would realy like another with a k or a bgt with a v8... yours looks very nice bgtmidget

A civic rad works well so does a super cool twin core mini rad, used both with no probs and the civic rad is quite compact

its been a while so I thought i'd put up some more recent photos: new interior, red leather: note the custom made indicator/wiper stalks ;D custom gearshift: also doing some engine work, got hold of some forged pistons very cheap: and a vvc head, which i'm currently porting and flowing. should then be good for 170-180bhp. also i've got a torsen lsd diff from a rover 620ti which i'll be fitting so I can actually get the power to the road!
