Hi everyone, I'm new on here and just thought i'd post some pics of my GTE, The car is off the road at the min undergoing a full nut & bolt restoration, this is how it looked before the resto       This is how its going to look (SR replica)  |

I used to have a red one as well.
Looks like you've got a good 'un there. No rust on the arches, towing eye cover and headlamp washers still present and the fog lights uncracked and working. Even looks like the original backbox.
Had an 8v for 3 years and a 16v for 6 years so I've got a soft spot for these. getting a bit thin on the ground now - especially in unmolested state.

sweet ride! my mate had one of these with some crazy turbo lump in it was easily the fatest car i've been in, was hillarious munching porsche turbo's in a F reg astra! proper lovely styling too! looks like a good shell  |

With the engine mods i've got planned i'm hoping to see about 200bhp from the N/A 16v engine

I'm in the middle of restoring a F reg GTE 8V at the minute, Its in the workshop its a black 16v spec last on the road in 1993, I must admit that I'm going back to a factory look, although I cant remember the last time I saw an Astra SR, good luck

good base car to use there- tis a lil strange to hear about you building it into a lower/earlier spec model than what you have to start with, but you cant do 'wrong' either way - there are a lot more GTE's about than SR models...
