How doo retro people, not too sure if my motor belongs on here just yet but it sure will do in the very near future ;D 1991 Toyota Sera currently in XPOWER grey (will eventually be Audi Arctic White) Has had a Starlet GT Turbo engine conversion which makes a hell of a difference in torque I can tell you. This is what it looked like when I first got it and the most recent pic at a fellow retro rider Cals house I will be doing some restoration hopefully over the winter (weather permitting) as there are a few rust bits here and there which I don't like, and also upgrading some electric bits to aid the fueling of the engine too. Hope you all like and hello to my good mates Dan Q and Carl with the Gen 1 Celica Gav

i LOVE Sera's. IMHO they are way better looking than the later Paseo's (did they call them Paseo in the UK too?) Toyota made.
Nice car!

most of them were indeed autos. The ironic thing is that my closest mates, 3 of which have seras, and all but one is manual. mine was always a manual since the factory. cheers for all the kind words. Since I bought it i have spent a fair bit. Need to spend alot more to get it to how I want it. Been buying optional extras like arm rests and snazzy mats and seat covers (very 80s, ). I'm currently putting in the optional sound system which you might of heard of. Super Live Sound System or SLSS for short was an optional 9 speaker system. I have most of them in bit I'm currently doing the rear sausage speaker set whic rotates at the touch of a button to change the sound....crazy japs

Brilliant motor. Those doors are the lick!
Any plans to fiddle with the suspension? It would look tasty on baby J rims a few inches closer to the tarmac.

I really like these... Can't imagine it in white tho ? Went to see an 'immaculate' one,,, Ding in every single panel, dog hair everywhere & a 6in square patch of paint missing... ACE ! Good luck with it . . .

The wheels are indeed very big, too big really, definately was in the 'need 17's' stage of my life. My tastes have changed somewhat and I agree about the smaller rims, probably some 15" buddy clubs, rotas or enkeis would do the trick pic at my wedding to give you a rear profile. this will be the general look with the Uprated G5 bumper in white (pic of a J sera) but essentially I would like to bring the Questpower kit over from Japan to make it look more like this but that kit costs more than I paid for the car just to buy so ill have to save a few pennys first. especially since I want to be in Japan when I buy it (visiting there hopefully)

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

fortunately it wasnt me who took it. The wife would be most un-pleased if it was me. Yeah, I'm excited about the white. The top of the car will be gloss black and the majority the brightest white you have ever seen.

I prefer the white one on J meshes to the one with the kit...

Seras are funky - you really have to drive one to appreciate the "goldfish bowl" experience! Getting out can be a pain in the backside though as it tends to attract a crowd! Or maybe that's just in Peterborough...
The one I drove was a manual with the Starlet turbo lump. Nice and nippy but not stupidly fast.

I have to agree, the white with mesh does look very nice indeed, and I already have the front bumper. Attracting a crowd is quite fun, however it's mostly from old blokes and young kids so not too great Goldfish bowl it certainly is, but the fish would fry as in summer it gets very hot, and with me removing my air con to fit my intercooler it's even hotter...like your own mobile sauna...

Very cool. Not sure about the full on bodykit (IMVHO) but the white looks very nice. Never realised the doors on these opened like that! Looking very nice.

I discovered overdoses of heating and lighting in my MR2 T bar, (just as glass tops got trendy again with manufacturers) I was too tall for the sun sheilds, so remembering to take a cap, and/or sun gigs on some journeys was wise

That looks really cool. I don't like the bodykit you posted. The other white one looks very cool, could maybe do with another inch of dish on the back and it'd be perfect.
Do you get many people who don't know of the cars calling you a chav for having lambo doors?
