got one of the seats in! first off i had to destroy the passenger seat to rob its subframe, yet more fun with the angle grinder! seatbase removed i was left with this next i removed the subframes from the audi seats, then butted up the polo subframe to them. secured them in place with cable ties! don't worry I'm gonna be welding them on! couldnt resist fitting the pass one, as its rare for anyone to sit in it anyway!

cleaned my gt aswell today, still in need of some lowering, but that'll have to wait! the leather seats are now fitted, solved a small misfire prob, which turned out to be a loose intake hose! needs back to blacking again, but I'm yet to find anything that lasts well during winter been messing about with some teardrop alloys that had seen better days!, started of like this: after a few coats of paint and some laquer! (might find it easier to sell them now!!)

both seats in! got bored today, so i made a splitter out of the bottom of an old polo bumper, not sure if its staying or not yet it had been painted so i had to spray it black, makes the rest of the plastic look really faded now! still got a leak in the cabin, dunno where its coming from, sunroof gutters are clear, battery tray is fine, only damage i could find was to the door seal on the bottom edge. tweaked the dizzy timing so the car now pops every time i change gear!

started diy refurbing my speedline alloys, going with a black centre hand painted, using engine laquer as it seem to give a better finish than hammerite. Once flatted back they should laquer up ok! The outer rim was diamond cut from new, but had water damage under the laquer. I'm hoping to remove the laquer and just polish it back up! ive started with the worst wheel and it seem to be coming up fairly well, not as good as new, but good enough for me! should look alright on the car once ive blacked the trim up again!

This si looking really nice now. Those seats look the bollos! Lights look good too. As for bumper blacking I seem to remember someone saying that a heat gun brings the black back well. Haven't tried it yet, and with my record I'll probably melt mine but I'll give it a bash when I get my heat gun back off my bro!

Use a hot air gun on those bumpers, they'll come up a treat. Remove the old engine oil first though!

Don't corner too quickly or it might fall over! yeah too much curse word in the boot and std springs has left it with a bit of neg rake and mega arch gap going on! however i have a set of std g40 spring off my other car to go on it and i might sling a set of lowering top caps on too. cant go to low else i'll have nothing to go fishing in or visit my old folks as they live on a farm

not done anything fun on this recently, started fitting a new alarm and remote central locking, almost done too! just got the remote engine start to wire! not bad considering the alarm only cost £50. seing as it was sunny and the car was relatively clean i took another pic of it still itching to get it lowered, but my mate has bust his arm, so that'll have to wait cos i don't have the equipment needed and he gets to use the garage facilities at the place he works at.

^^^ my plan was to get a mk2, but the one i was after got sold for a tenner before i could get near it! was gonna stick bike carbs on it and run it as a daily slammed shitter. still I'm fairly pleased with this one, other than the funny fault it has at the mo. for some reason it has started randomly bogging down, then cuts out. its almost like someone has blocked the injectors and cut the fuel off! changed the dizzy and coil, but no joy! throttle cable was loose, so i tightened that up. seems to do it when the weather is cold and i noticed the pipe from the exhaust manifold was missing, rerplaced it but not tried it out yet! also the flap that switches between hot and cold air was stuck, so maybe that was the prob? can anyone offer any further advice or tips on what the prob could be?

machine polished these today! sadly the light was going when i took the pic (my camera doesnt work to well in low light levels) dunno what to do with them though! half tempted to ebay them, though I'm not sure how much they would be worth! they were off a porsche 924 and were originally powder coated black. if anyone wants a set doing give us a shout and £15 to cover my time and return postage! (you will have to supply them though! and be carefull as some porsche handles wont fit! the ones that do have little rods connected to them and are a bit of a pain to remove from the car! you can pick them up from scrappies for around a tenner)
