this is how my car looked when I got hold of it (paid £100 for it)  it was a non runner and had been flooded. so far I have managed to get it running again, but its got the mot on sat which is a bit worrying! don't know what direction I going to go down with this car, but I was thing along the lines of keeping it std looking from the outside and going high tec on the inside to see how many modern creature comforts I can get into it! heres another pic after a wash and polish!  and yes that is oil underneath the car!(very long story!) |

well my budget banger is trying its hardest to self destruct, in the space of a couple of weeks the battery has failed, the replacement turned out to be duff too, so another battery was fitted! they battery tray started to leak water, after inspection i found there was very little battery tray left that wasnt rust! and just to top things off the speedo has given up the ghost! guess i might be in for a busy time with a welder over xmas

 went down the scrappy today and picked up a set of morette headlamps for £20! the extra driving lights are damaged, so need some new ones, but they are in reasonably good condition, considering how poor the build quality of them is!! anyone know where to get replacement lamps from for these? has anyone got any general info on them too?  dunno if i like them or not, but we will see once they are fitted! |

Stop! Think! Ask you self, does this look good or am i just slapping them on coz i got em for £20? my opinion they don't suit the shape of the car at all. Nice car btw  all hail the 100 quid fixer uppers car! |

if you like the light`s,then fit them. you`re modding it the way you like to, not the way everyone else wants you to!! if we all done mods to suit everyone`s taste, we`d all have cars that look the same!! do it your way and stay individual!! ;D

well i didnt expect them to cause that much of a reaction, though i didnt expect anyone to like them! I'm gonna fit them and see what they look like, if i don't like them i will pull them off again! there was a couple of reasons i bought them, A: they are mega rare, mostly cos nobody likes them and B if i don't like them i can ebay them and make a load of cash, which i can then spend on other things!
v8kitten, ive no intention of modding to how other people think i should, i get sick of that with the vw scene, most of the cars look like clones, however i don't intend to do anything i don't like, just for the sake of it!

I havent asked for any opinions, people just left them!? ive asked if anyone had any info on them and where to get replacement lights from, cos I havent found a morette website. still gonna fit them, I'm hoping that if i leave them the same colour as the grille, that they wont look so rounded, although on the arguement about them being too rounded, what about the wheel arches, maybe i should cut them out and fit square ones   |

well the lights are on, don't think they look too bad, they are definately growing on me!  no doubt they will cause a bit of a reaction god or bad, not that i really care, cos its my banger and i'll do as i please! by rights this car should be in the scrapyard anyway (not just cos of the lights!) its already been flooded, theres a dirty great big hole in the battery tray which i need to sort out and it appears the car had a nice front end smash once upon a time and has been repaired with scrapyard parts, still at least i know the panels are original! |
