Hooray, I've been building this car in my head for 8 years or so!
At lunchtime today me and The Undertaker went up to Crediton to pick this up, towed it back the 40 odd miles on the straight bar with the Cinq, bit scary as the cinq weghs about as much as my washing machine!
Coped admirably though, even up Telegraph hill![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Blue Dials, 53,000 miles!
![](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/corsab8v/Hondamentalism/DSC01485.jpg)
Got back to Torbay @ half 4.
So, first things first,
Wash it as it's been stood for 18months without having been started, get it running (new battery and blocked fuel pick up pipe in the tank, cured by poking bmx inner cable down into the tank.
Remove bumpers and excess rear lighting, remove uk numberplate conversion plate, pull some very crispy bits of the wings and valances off, et voila
![](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/corsab8v/Hondamentalism/DSC01478.jpg)
Next, pause for a spot of dinner with the womenfolk![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)
Then, introduce it to the stick ;D
![](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/corsab8v/Hondamentalism/DSC01479.jpg)
Having cut the springs in half, it looks more like
![](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/corsab8v/Hondamentalism/DSC01484.jpg)

Get it back in the garage and take a wing off to see how the rust is progressing in behind it (I knew it'd be rusty there, they all are), Revealing this
![](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/corsab8v/Hondamentalism/DSC01495.jpg)
Not as bad as it could have been ;D
Wing's gonna need a bit of work though
![](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/corsab8v/Hondamentalism/DSC01492.jpg)
Should be another 2 1/2 inches of it here
![](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/corsab8v/Hondamentalism/DSC01496.jpg)
And about the same here
![](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/corsab8v/Hondamentalism/DSC01497.jpg)
Next comes a quick nosy at the engine bay, which has been stonechipped![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png)
![](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/corsab8v/Hondamentalism/DSC01488.jpg)
After a bit of experimentation with:
heat gun and scraper - unsuccessful,
white spirit and a rag - better,
and finally with a paint brush and a jar of celly thinners,
we reach close of play, day 1
![](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/corsab8v/Hondamentalism/DSC01493.jpg)
So, back into the house I return, feeling like a kid with a new toy ;D and think about whether to put in the 1600 16v Twin Cam CRX motor I've already got or go looking for a B16a/ B18c/ 2.2 vtec'Lude engine that I can't afford![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)
Also, whether to do a hub conversion of some kind or try and find some 120mm PCD wheels.
But, after a lot of searching, I've finally got the J tin I wanted ;D ;D
