Cheers guys, I'm feeling a bit better about the whole thing too A bit of regular progress has a habit of doing that Yep I hope to keep the momentum going on it now, commitments permitting I've got some parts with the soda blasters at the moment, and depending on how they come out, then the engine may be going there next for a clean up too Still undecided whether I want a bare clean alloy look to everything, or whether I'm going to paint it all ?

I'm getting a similar thing with photobucket / proboards. It seems to not like long file names and instead says the user has moved the pic.
As soon as I shortened the names on mine the pic linking works fine.
Not sure how long you filenames are, but worth a look.
Great build.

I`ll try again.... A lot of faffing for not much interest but these are the 2 pics Cheers for looking ;D Not much else happening as I`ve had loads of stuff to sort out on Dailys lately, but I need to get down and clear some space in the barn so I can get up and relieve PhoenixCapri of the rest of my stuff, now that I have a Van that is working and legal again

Sorry I was in the middle of a less than successful day Just looking forward to being able to post some proper update pics In other news I have been welding all afternoon..... !! Sadly not on the kadett, but it's all good practice for when I can... Been welding some dual use bench frames up to help out a friend They form benches with aluminium profile storage bays underneath for 4m lengths I'll get some pics tomorrow and run the gauntlet of photo bucket again !! Cheers Dom

Some pics hopefully ? 2 years since I picked up a torch, so I was pretty pleased with some of these Some racking / bench frames for Heidi's work needed welding and they asked if I could help so I said I'd have a go ? 4 of the 8 lined up in position Makes me a bit more confident about doing some more on the car once I get a decent welder, this was all done using their migatronic rally, which was nice until the thermal cut out kicked in

welding is one of those skills that doesn't go away how ever long you leave it, looking good and can't wait to see it back from the fabricators

Cheers guys !! Was hoping to be able to give an update but the guys doing the shell have been busy breaking the electric land speed record this week So I think that's a reasonable excuse !!

Well I went over there last Friday and nothing had changed, but I had a phone call this evening to say work had started on the shell !! I'll pop over tomorrow afternoon and get some pics It seems the drivers cill has been had the standard over skin repair at some point so Cain is going to remove the whole cill and replace it with the new one that I had in stock, rather than just cut sections out to repair So it's in good hands I think

Cheers fella, the amount he has done in a short time has vindicated the decision to get it done, would have taken me 5 times as long !

Well I dropped off the DBW throttle pedal and my shrinker / stretcher at the weekend so Cain can carry on with it, but not sure how much more he'll be able to do at the moment as I have just been made redundant Hopefully I can get something sorted quickly so it doesn't impact the progress too much
