Just picked up this MK2 Capri and i´m not too sure how to go on this one. Needs sills, wheelarches, A posts.... all the usual curse word. Always wanted to build a tilting frame ...that old racking at work will come in handy!! My lads think a matching car for the van would be good but I think that would be overdoing it!! I´ve got to keep it original to get it through it´s TÜV but after that I was thinking something along the lines of Cosworth 24v, all spoilers and bumpers off, slammed with some decent wheels... maybe MK 3 bonnet and front wings? What do you guys think?

Love the seat covers I was just thinking, hmmm hmmm hmm then I saw the rear shot and it was like shazam wow all of sudden it rocks hard. gulfy would be good but I like the john player type colours. get some mk2 lights back in there I reckon, they are way cooler than round lights.

Good find. Keep the JPS colour scheme, although I love gulf livery think it might be a bit over kill with the van as well!
Slammed, banded JPS colour coded steels and 24v Cossie lump! WINNER!!!!!!

That's fantastic. In my opinion, keep the tat, slam and resto the paint. JPS colours are so fine.
Lovely ride - great hunting skills.

JPS colours have to stay! They look fantastic. I reckon leave the bumpers and smoothe and paint over where they used to be, a duckbill on the back and a splitter on the front would look kinda cool.
The 24v idea sounds ace!

Jag IRS, big wheelarches on the back, 10x15 slotmags with big tyres, 5x14 slotmags on front, that colour scheme but with the gold fogged onto the black, a big capri rs3100 spoiler, leave the window louvres, 302ci ford v8, l88 bonnet scoop.

Is that a real JPS? If so they are quite rare.

Fix the rust, and repaint it in the same colour, gold stripes and all. Keep the spoilers (and put on bumpers) get it approved, shove a 302 or 351 v8 in it, and make it sit like this: ;D

I'm pretty sure that isnt a genuine mk2. If it is it must have been rightly molested.

I bought the Capri off a mate of mine for 300 Euro´s. It´s parked up at his Ford dealership in Heilbronn (about 300 miles away) and haven´t really had much time to look at it yet. Passed through on Monday on the way back from Sinsheim, took a few Fotos and bought it!!!
I haven´t got any paperwork for it yet so i´m not too sure about anything yet. If it´s an original JPS then i´ll keep it that way. (...don´t worry not too original...engine, stance and wheels are a must!!!)
To be honest i´m not that clued up on Capri history and i´m not even sure its a MKII, any ideas how can i tell if it´s an original or a bodged one?
I´m in the process of stripping a MK3 granada of it´s 2,8i engine/gearbox so that i can fit it to my van this winter and as soon as that´s done i´ll have room to collect the Capri and park it up at home.
Thanks for the foto undertaker, that´ll keep me going in winter! Is yours an automatic? Anything funny i´ve got to watch out for?
I´ll probably be sticking to the 24V theme as they are cheap smile per miles and the V8´s are quite expensive over here.
Thanks for all the ideas lads, keep them coming.

Heilbronn is about 50kms from me, if you need storage, help etc. let me know... and also some inspriation, though this is a Mk.III:

I´m ok for storage but will need loads of spares (metalwork!!) and always open to good ideas! That´s one hell of a Capri...is it yours??? To save putting your mates details here on the forum if you PM me your number i´ll give you a bell if that´s alright with you?
