Jürgen, Thanks for the Fotos .

So many good ideas and only one car to put them all on!!!
I´ll give you a call this evening

It really looks like a MKIII. The rear lights, the front lights, the grille, it's got a mkIII steering wheel.

On another note, went to the Muenster oldtimers show when I was living there and saw this absolutely ace capper there: Stupidly that's the only shot i got of it X-pack with a 3.0 and tripple webers IIRC.

It really looks like a MKIII. The rear lights, the front lights, the grille, it's got a mkIII steering wheel. Just had a chat with my mate and the Capri was first registered on 27 June 1978... that would be one of the last MK II s ?? or when did they start the MKIII´s?

Ooooh that's a good point, as you say the mk3's didn't have the shaped bonnet for the lights. You've got a real hybrid ;D

I love that! Looks like it has some storys to tell, a proper survivor! If it is a genuine JPS, aren't they worth like a whole sack of cash? Uber rare! They had like a 'gold' coloured interior (looked more like beige in reality)... is there any traces of gold interior to be found? Quite exciting!

If i remember right (i´m the wrong side of 40 so can remember)the JPS specials were MKII´s so that puts my one out. It has a normal black & white chequered interior. and was deregistered in 1986 so didn´t spend too many years on the road. I think one of earlier owners has just fitted a few golden stripes to the side. I´ll dig deeper in a few weeks when i´ve got the car home In the logbook are 7 x 13´s with 205/60/13´s (shame they´re not on the car!!) ...and both the original Ford Motorsport spoilers - which for whatever reason, you were only allowed to fit the rear one if the front one was fitted as well!!! German regulations!!!!!!

yes, that puts me off building a Hayabusa engined Isetta ;D ... it is fascinating, in the UK you can put a sofa on wheels and have it registered... a german TÜV engineer would get a heartattack....

I´ll be cheating and risking it on the Capri.
Restore back to original, get a historic certificate, get it written up on my oldtimer red 07er numberplate..and then kick the sh+t out of it.
24V, slammed, wheels etc..
.it worked on the van!!!
Get yourself an address in England and register your Hayabusa sofa there!!!

Dave, great catch there. Here is one I did earlier ..... Hi Rian, thanks for ideas..they´re definately my idea of fun... a Pirana copy would be very nice but my bank manager would not agree. I´´ll probably got with 24V, they´re af ford able and available!! The color scheme is not a bad idea though

Get yourself the glue/bond on kit and make yourself and Aston Martin replica!!! NOT! ;D ;D JPS colours definitely suit these..... slammed and wide steels, nothing more to ask for ( except perhaps anti tramp bars and the rear handling tightening up to handle the cossie V6 )

love ya capri there, the rear end looks sweet as a nut with the spoiler & louvers over the window, weld her up, keep the jps look & some 7 or 7 x 13 rims & a little lowering,
if you have the means! get a scorpio 24v in it! loads of fun & it'll be super reliable!

I think they look a bit aftermarket boy racer, maybe they´ll grow on me when i get the car home.
