I agree with all the others, the new wheels look awesome.
But.....(and please don't hate me for saying this) I actually preferred it on the 13" Comps. I can't quite put my finger on why, but the new wheels, despite being rather lovely, just don't seem to have the edge the other ones did. As I said, please don't hate me - you know I LOVE this car!

Ah Karate Dan I will probably be parked there fairly often as my girlfriend lives in Honiton and that seems a nicer place to park than on the high street! I love how bright my wheels look in that picture haha Is your car around there anywhere normally? If you see me park up sometime come and say hi MM I completely understand what you mean, I loved the 13's and I loved how it sat on 13's and always preferred having black wheels but sometimes you just have to change things up a bit I'm enjoying having a bit more space under the car now and not hitting everything that is slightly bumpy... and tyres are sooooo cheap for 15's! haha

Next? Possibly some signwriting to hide the horrible horrible paint until I've done some welding over winter and can repaint it... I must stop parking opposite Golfs! ;D

The paint will be staying the same, i will just be going over it again as I was never happy with how well I did it the first time (streaky and runny!) and its had a few years worth of some really deep scratches!

Awesome, I will keep an eye out! My mini is usually in my drive at the other end of the lane right on that corner (blocked by the chainlink fence) but atm, and for a while, it is in Exeter having a load of welding and a respray. And yeah, it is definitely nicer there than the high street. PM me if you want my number as there is usually a space in my drive if you ever get stuck.

So just a small update... As some of you may have seen my bonnet was repainted just before the Gathering, the old paint went weird after it got powerwashed so it desperately needed it doing. It was painted properly with a gun this time and hopefully once I've sorted out some more bits the rest of the black is getting redone the same. I've finally got round to welding up a couple small bits but obviously there is plenty more of that to come as well, so at the moment I'm running around with some lovely primer patches. I even went to the summer-ish swdubs meet with it looking like a right state but amazingly a genius photographer managed to get it at an angle that avoided all the primer... Erm so basically no big plans at the moment, just lots of welding and repainting.

Your mods really, really show the beautiful, low-slung shape of this car. Frankly I'm astonished how good it looks uncluttered.

Looks really, really good - clean lines, sits well. Perfick.
Love the peep mirror and the 'toddler's head' dent in the bonnet.

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum
